Sodbuster...and lots of them!

My first Sodbuster... man I have been missing out!

Great choice! I think the Natural Canvas Micarta is a very close second for my favorite of this run, just a hair behind the OD Green Linen Micarta.

Here is a pic of the new crew, one with some of the old crew and then the Sunbrite compared to the Nifibrite. I need to get a pic of all my Bullnoses, the Orange and Black Protos, the Rednecks and all the Farm and Fields together...lots of bullnoses over here:D

Thank you Trevor for those pics. Love seeing the variety all together in the same pic, under the same light. Especially the nifebrite vs sunbrite comparisons. Excellent job of showing the difference between the two.
I have been comparing my nifebrite to the sunbrite beer scout I have. Love those acrylics!
The sodbuster pattern has got to be one of the best looking knives imo. The curves and lines are both ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing.

A post with a modern knife included has been moved to the Traditional and Modern pairings thread. Please keep it traditional knives only.

These knives are all attractive, beautiful, knives. The group of knives Trevor posted are stunning as are everyone else's posted. Looks and function just doesn't get any better. That said; I would like GEC to come out with a #71 Bull Buster with the same yellow hued delrin that Case uses. Even if GEC had to buy a few sheets of yellow delrin from Case and pay a royalty for each knife produced, I'd be willing to pay the difference. The knifebrite and sunbrite are nice colors but they just aren't yellow. I think a #71 Bull Nose in "Case nostalgic yellow delrin" would be a looker and a worker. Just my 2¢ .

My user natural canvas has darkened considerably, as seen is this pic. Ed, I kicked around the yellow but went with something a little more unique. That said, who knows, maybe next time but I have a few other ideas as well:D

Thanks you sir, hope you post some pics of yours after you break it in! The natural canvas is one of my favorite handle choices, especially for the Bullnose.

That's a nice user Trev. My two most used GEC #71s. I carry the black delrin one every day.

Your choice of Sunbrite was a good one and as expected, turned out perfectly. I'd just like to see a true yellow on one of these #71s

EVERYONE: You've all got not only some great looking knives but some great working knives too.

This was my first time to buy a Bull Nose and I was surprised at how much smaller they are as compared to the Bull Buster. I like the 71 Bull Nose better. I ordered the OD green micarta, natural canvas micarta and sunbrite. I love both the OD green and the natural micarta, still waiting on the sunbrite. Has GEC ever made it with bone or wood handles?

Great pictures everyone...thanks for sharing.

Mark

No bone or wood on the Bullnose, I tried for either on this run and GEC expressed a desire not to run those materials due to production issues. Osage was run on the Bullbuster though.
