Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Cracking and splitting around the Lanyard Tube.

Yes, that is what Chris stated. It could turn into a nightmare and money loser if that happened, can't say I blame them.

Black Linen has not been done on the bullnose until this run.

A pic of my bullnose tubes, from the proto on down to the latest releases... I might have an issue(pic should be rotated but it's a bad cell pic, sorry)[emoji1]

Thanks John hope yours turns out well too. I ended up getting a brother in law and coworker to pick up their first gec they got the natural canvas too and both really like them.

My Red Micarta and Natural Micarta both delivered today. And the Red took my breath away! It is also a lighter pull and better polished than the natural canvas (which is to be expected). But while the Red Linen is fancy out of the box, The natural canvas just begs to be carried to develop character. I look forward to carry and enjoy both in the years to come.

The first quality knife that I bought with my own money was a yellow handled CV Sodbuster Jr. I loved that knife and most of the men in my life carried a Case and if they didn't carry a Case they wanted to. I wish I still had that knife. :/

Fast forward a few years and I find GEC and the 71. Looks good but I wasn't overly impressed until I saw the natural micarta version. I hardly ever see them for sale and they go fast. I found at Collector Knives was getting some and got there too late. But today friends, the knife gods smiled on me and they rewarded me with a natural canvas micarta 71. It will go in my pocket and live the rest of its days as it is supposed to.

I will update the thread with more photos when it arrives.

Just got this one and it went straight to work along side my Pioneer. It's perfect, blows my Case out of the water in terms of F&F. I think I'm going to try to track down a 21.

Great looking collection! Thanks for the comparison pics on the Nifebrite and Sunbrite. For my taste, I definitely prefer the Nifebrite, but both are good looking knives.

Arrived the other day, just had time to snap some pictures...

I worked on a little more embellishment for my bullnose. I made a leather sheath for it. It's based off of the fold over wet formed sheaths I read about in one of Gary Graley's tutorials from a few years back. His sheaths are way better executed than mine. I just finished waxing it and I'm going to let it ride on my belt for the afternoon and see how it goes
