Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Nice pickup Hunter. That one looks like a it might one of the later production Henckles before they stopped making them. I'm guessing this since the etch runs along the blade instead of up and down on the blade. Interesting lanyard hole too, I wonder if that was factory or after the fact, seems a bit unfinished. Great score, throw it in the pocket and put it to use!

Thanks guys! I actually just passed it on to another forum member. I Love the knife, and thought hard about keeping it, but kinda picked it up thinking there may be someone out there who has been looking for one, and I could get it in the hands of someone who would appreciate it!

My Loewen from 1970 came from the factory with the same countersink on the lanyard hole.

You're a good guy, Hunter!

Seems CASE is coming out with some really sweet bone soddies.. And.. Found a few Rosewood handled soddies out there for sale for those that were looking.. John

Now that you mention it Henry, my Lowen has a counter sunk lanyard hole as well, though not as wide as the Henkles so it's less noticeable.

Hunter, that's an awesome gift to a lucky forum member! I hope they post some pics of it from time to time.

jmh, Case does have a few new soddies coming out and a couple are really looking nice!

Looking forward to adding all to the collection!

I picked up this jigged, shieldless red bone junior because it so nicely bridges the gap between a sturdy, pocketable work knife and an attractive, finished slippy that can just as easily ride in a shirt pocket as a back pocket. I'm also eyeing up a hunter green version with a shield. As nice as this red soddie looks, I'm a sucker for green. :D

Cory, to whet your appetite, here is a picture of my Osage Orange Bullbuster. I haven't seen that many out there, but Osage is my favorite wood for knife scales. Post some photos when yours arrives!

Got my Red linen micarta soddie in the rfp today!!!:thumbup: John

GEC #71 SFO in Sunbrite Acrylic. This is such a great pattern that I have three of them! Great in the hand and pocket, and this one has the usual top notch fit and finish of GEC knives. Carried it at work today and as expected it did everything asked of it smoothly and with ease. The bonus with this SFO version is that it glows in the dark! Thanks for this Trevy!

I agree it is a great knife and a great sfo, the only problem is, that I just got one and I don't wanna use it. I should've got two so I could carry one!

Hahaha!, I know that feeling Beggs! I like the Sunbrite so much that I ordered a #77 Yankee Jack in Sunbrite cause I don't wanna keep using my Osage orange one!

I also got "ole yeller: from trevy, I have not used mine yet either, I use my knifebrite or green micarta Bullnose, the yellow is so beautiful.

I have a black delrin I designated as a user and it's one of my favorites of all my knives. It's made extremely well and is real close to being my perfect knife, I should've bought two of those as well.

I don't know what it is with this pattern that draws me in so. I think it's just the comfortable handle design and the stout do anything type single blade. They really are almost the perfect folder. And depending on the handle material they can be an elegant go to church knife, or a real rough customer on the job knife. Every time you guys post a photo of a new one my hand reaches for my wallet!
