SOLVED LionSteel cust. service or the dealer

And yet, if you'd had the patience to read the initial reply when you saw it and quoted it 3 and a half hours ago, you could have saved yourself the time and typing you spent making the 7 or so replies after that. Checking the forum every 5-10 minutes isn't necessary. Reading the reply that contains the information regarding the resolution to your problem, on the other hand, is. Perhaps something to keep in mind in the future.

Thanks for your suggestion, much appreciated.

C chambelona59 Maybe I'm off base here, but haven't you been posting pictures of you displaying and using these knives all over the forum?

@knifeswapper doesn't owe you anything...

Why have you waited so long to take issue with the seller? Based on the pictures I've seen you posting, these knives are yours now that you've used them. Who's to say your own ignorance wasn't the cause of the blemishes on the knives?

Quit your bitching and take your piss baby attitude somewhere else.

The one with screw that fell out because it wasn't set correctly, doesn't stop it from cutting, none of the rest were used.
The point is they were allowed to leave the production assembly line in Italy with the bocote scale cracked from the way the screw was set in, and scratched blades on another two, two others are perfect and problem free which is how they all should be after being looked at.
No doubt you'd be content with your beloved Thorburn and Rocksead if they had issues.
Always amusing what big mouths people have behind their keyboards.
Keep smelling it.

Again, why have you waited so long to take up issue with the seller? Don't avoid my question by turning the tables to bring up the knives that I enjoy, that's just getting off topic.

It's funny that you even have the audacity to call anyone in this thread "big mouth" since you're the only one who fits that description here.

You can surely "have the utmost respect for CK" as well as be a big Fan of any seller/dealer/distributor/company you'd like to, that's your prerogative.
When I receive knives with issues I state so in both text an clear photos, no waiting around after several weeks go by, a bitter pill to swallow for some people.
Trust me, no advice needed.

Not really, my grand dad used to tell me, when you point a finger at someone, always remember there are three pointing back at you.

You could have, upon inspection of the knives chose to reply to the thread dedicated for the shuffler in the Traditionals Forum like several people did and received quick responses from knifeswapper. But, you chose not to.
You could have boxed them up, sent them back to CK and gotten a refund, but, you chose not to.
You could have chose to be less defensive and respond with some inclination of intelligence and not act like an ass, but, you didn't. So now, you pretty much get what you deserve.
That's the pill you have to swallow. Have fun.

Exactly! The OP keeps quoting the $781 figure like he paid that for one custom knife - $731 for the knife and another $50 inspection fee to make 'dam' sure it was perfect!

Frankly, even $800 custom folders aren't immune from minor aesthetic imperfections. In my opinion (and experience) you need to go up to $2,500+ customs before you really can start expecting everything to be perfect.

In case anyone doesn't feel like reading the entire thread, let me summarize:

OP has a screw loose. He informed CK that he had a screw loose. Because he has a screw loose, he became angry when CK didn't offer to fix his loose screw, even though he hadn't asked CK to fix his loose screw. Once CK became aware that OP had a screw loose and that he wanted it fixed, it immediately offered to replace his loose screw.

You left out the part where OP responded to a very sincere attempt by CK to remedy the entire situation by stating:
I don't have the patience to read all that... […]
Save the 10 commandments and a pen...

@knifeswapper , Thanks again for the excellent service and communication you’ve provided me in the past. This thread has convinced me to support you again when the next run of Shuffers comes in. Mike, you are a class act!
C chambelona59 , thanks for giving the community a chance to get to know you. They’ll make their minds up for themselves.

I think the OP needs way more ‘work’ than just replacing one loose screw.
My only question would be......why the f&$k didn’t he just pick up the phone???
Joe

The OP is; at best, being disingenuous both in his complaints and in his responses to offers from the vendor. Thread should be closed, the description should be changed from "Bad" to neutral if not
deleted all together and the OP should be publicly shamed for a while longer and then banned for being a jackass.

Just one non-fanboys opinion.

He bought 6 knives for that amount. He'd have people believe he spent that much on one. Just more obfuscation from a jackass.

I was gonna advise the seller to just tell the OP to ship em ALL back- good, bad, ugly, whatever, here's your refund, don't call us and we won't call you, until I saw steak sauce slathered all over one of the knives in question along with other evidence of use. Now If I was the seller I'd ship the guy his loose screw and tell him "dems da breaks" as to anything else. Stag and wood are natural materials, and what one buyer considers flaws another may well consider to be character. Kudos to the seller for displaying such a high level of patience.

C chambelona59 - With all due respect, and acknowledging that you have some legitimate complaints about the condition of your knives (though for me, the only one I would have had a problem with is the stag with the loose screw, but then we all have different standards), but if you can't get satisfaction from Mike Latham at Collectorknives.net, then you can't get satisfaction anywhere. He is a good and respected dealer, and will take care of his customers.

Talk about "the patience of Job" (you've got it CK). This situation is a prime example of why this Calabrese heritage member (that's me :D) would NEVER make it in retail. ;) Someone's made it onto a few (or more) ignore lists, and it ain't knifeswapper. :p
