Some words from Chris......

that was pure poetry right there. you and your knives are both awesome and equally as sharp.

thank you.

As I indicated in an earlier post, you & your wife show class and professionalism in every way. Chris Reeve Knives will continue to receive my hard earned dollars!

Thanks for taking the time to post this.

I bought my first Sebenza in February of '96 and have had several Sebs, Umfaans, and Mnandis since then and none of them has ever let me down nor have they not performed exactly as expected of them. I continue to support CRK not only because y'all make an outstanding product but because of the philosophy behind the company.

Excellent words Mr Reeve. Solid integrity reflecting both the man and the products of the company.
I own and use a few of your blades and am proud to do so .

Paul.

Thanks for posting this, Chris. It is silly some of the stuff people do under the banner of a test.

BTW--for such "inferior" knives, I can hardly keep them in stock! :)

My small Seb's been riding shotgun since February 2002 when you helped convince me to give it a shot. Now my Son's got one, and we both just might have an extra put away for a rainy day (read-our heirs) :).

I've definitely noticed more QC-related threads/complaints in the past two years, but you hit the nail on the head. No one's infallible, and when introducing new products and innovating long-standing products, things happen. And this is only speculation on my part as to threads over the past year, as I've never personally had an issue with your products, and we have to go on faith that folks are posting with integrity on the nature of their product problems.

We're passionate about your products because they kicka$$. I for one look forward to what's to come from CRK, and my money's on continued excellence and bar-setting for the rest of the industry.

Professor.

Thanks Chris and Anne, you are both great people who build the best knives in the world! I own about 30 of youre fine knives "as well as sell them" I love showing other people how great they really are! Since 1999 I have been doing all sorts of stupid stuff to Sebenza's and I have never been let down by one! Youre staff is second to none, Heather and all the rest who constantly help me out. Over priced? Over rated? Not hardly!! I think youre knives are a deal, and worth every penny! I wish you and youre family the best in the future, Sincerely,, J.R. Kondisko "Ubasi Cutlery"

Thanks for the update. I agree that this should be a sticky.
Thalestin,
you started a thread and whined on CRK's sub-forum, for several pages, about your Sebenza and it's "non centered" blade. You should have contacted CRK directly instead of using this forum to b*tch about your Seb.
This sticky is about people like you.

You are the last one who should talk....:thumbdn:

Although I think it's unfortunate that this thread became necessary, it was a pleasure to read.

My sebenza is used for everything. It has never failed, never faltered. It is easy to put a sharp edge back on the knife, and it holds for a long time. It is the easiest knife I own to disassemble, clean, and reassemble.

It's my most expensive knife, and it was worth every penny.

I have been through many knives, when I got my sebenza I got rid of all other knives. I went through a lot of different companies that said they had the best. I am satisfied with the pure quality and the customer service,"I am talking to you Heather" that this company offers. I work at costco in Maintenance and You Can only imagine how dirty of a job that is. I am able to keep my knife clean from any germs I may take home to my family. the performance of this knife is higher than my expectations. For all you that are considering getting a Chris reeve knife, I would highly recogmend doing so. You will not regret it. s30v I feel is a excelent choice of steel. remember the harder the steel, the more carbon that is put in. a steel with a lot of carbon will rust easy, would not be a good choice for camping or out door activity, if using for food higher carbon steel will not be a good choice. For those who modify thier knife or abuse thier knife, you have every right to do what you want. Please don't tarnish the name of a company that has the quality that other knives are compared to. if you think you could build a better knife than maybe you should be in the knife industry.
thank you Mr. Reeve for the quality cutting tools you provide.
Chris

Thank you Chris for your years of hard work. Quality is something that is harder and harder to find these days. Quality products don't come to market without a great deal of effort by great people.

I met Chris and Anne in 1987 thru Blackjack Knives. The quality of Chris' products then and now have been consistently excellent. He is a man of his word and my dealings with CRK have always been a pleasure. By the way, Chris in the early years also made some very beautiful Art Knives. Kudos CRK, I'm a lifetime fan

Thanks Chris, I believe your products speak very favorably for themselves. I have voted many, many times with my wallet and have a nice family of CRKs.

I'm one of the folks who you gave a tour of the old shop to and has seen you a few times at the OKCA - those were occasions that instilled my confidence in your approach to knife making.

I am still working on getting my first. I am a lefty and your small sebenzas are hard to come by. It's in my dreams, some day I will own a Chris Reeve Small left hand sebenza. And I love your steel. I have a sypderco cat carbon fiber and I was cutting some hard plastic the other day. I said to myself I will probably have to touch it up now. The thing feels sharper than before I cut the plastic and still slices through paper like a razor. Great accomplishment Chris and My congrats on a very proffesional post.
