Just got a CS Viking Hand axe in today. Next to a Trailhawk for size reference.

I like it as it is but I also really like it on the 22" handle. I think I'm going to order another and put that head on the TH handle and then cut the long handle down to ~15" for the TH head.

Well, I got rid of The Elder Scrolls online to get The Witcher 3. I loved Skyrim but I can't get into having other people playing an Elder Scrolls game with me. Witcher is downloading its updates, so I've been playing Fallout 4. So far so good.

I have an "American Tomahawk Company" - basically a CS Trailhawk (think they're even manufactured by the same place) - that I'm working on right now. It throws nicely, and I think the handle length is good for the head weight. I also have a CRKT Woods Kangee that has a much heavier head and a shorter haft. Trying to throw them at the same time is doable but challenging.

Tried out my shawnee hawk today. Couldn't resist staging a photo.

Cool picture. I wish we lived close enough to play knife gun camera together. I know we would have fun. My mom is looking at houses in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. If she ends up down there I will have to help her move so we will have to hang out with piles of steel and lead for sure.

I went with 18.5 on my TH. I was thinking 16 at first but changed my mind. I carved a handle out of pine 16 inches long to see how it felt. Didn't like it. But since you have bigger hawks...15 does sound nice and portable.

Looking forward to getting out and chopping with it.

That giant handle looks perfect for you. Hope you like it.

Wish you and I still lived close enough. Now I'm in the H#!! N0 realm in terms of distance. Was good getting to hang with you that once, anyways.

Yeah I am still bummed you had to move. But we can definitely still stay in touch. I just got a 2x42 craftsman sander. Haven't even opened the box yet.

I think we need to work on teleportation. Then we would all live "close enough". I think I know where to obtain dilithium crystals.....then all we need is for Greg and Sparky (GSO1962 & NCSlice) for the engineering and wiring. And WW for any "psychological preparation" needed. Never know until you try....

And we have a whole lot of folks who could provide the, er.. "natural gas" needed to power this contraption. Who wants to hold the jar?
