TOT,
You would just need to sell 499 of them, and then yours is free. I know three people who buy them (right Bob, Jeff and Greg?)

Seriously, I think that you could do 250 in a special project. I was really just jesting with you, but the options are there..

Jeff, would you be willing to split the difference with me,hummmmmmmm? We could be the BIG internet Custom 532 dealers. And get rich and famous. There I go dreaming again.

Jeff,

I'm sure you could count on the "3 532 Muskateers"

! Greg has already chimed in!

But seriously, any BFC Buck would be nice. Given the impending opening of Pete's Custom Knife Shoppe with the variety of flavors a 110 could be gotten there, perhaps the Lightning isn't a bad way to go. But I gotta be honest. After seeing your anodized metal handle models in that other thread, one of those would be real nice too.

A special edition BG-42 Lightning sounds great. Even though the 110 is the classic Buck knife, people already had their chance to get a special edition BG-42 110 (and 532) with the Masters series. It would be nice to see something new and different. Personally, I'm more apt to use a small one-hand opening knife like the Lightning more than a 110, which would be more of a collector's piece for me. Plus from a marketing standpoint, it would be a great way to show off the new Buck designs!

For my nickles worth on next years knife, I want a finger grooved 110, with a BG-42 drop point blade, like the Selector. Nickle Silver bolsters, with a blue wood micarta scales. Drilled for a lanyard too! - Brian

I am by no means a Buck knife fan and have to this day only owned 2 and they both broke, with only moderate use(they were Bucklites, and this was in 1988 FYI). I would however be interested in a BG42 Bladeforums edition if the price is right(Low) but only as a collector's piece.
I am sorry and mean no offense to anyone but I have "no" confidence in Buck knives.

Bill, I would chalk up your bad experience to bad luck. Over the last 20 years I have had plenty of Buck knives and I haven't had any major problems with any of them.

I have the same Buck 110 that I got early in my military career. It still locks up great. As a rule I usually avoid those "light" knives. I like a knife with a little heft to it, so that may be me.

I myself would prefer a BG-42 lightning. Nice, modern one hand opener.

Or how about a BG-42, INTREPID?

Cobalt,
A BG-42 Intrepid? BWAAAAAAAHH! (pant!, drool!, *schwing!*)
How dare you bring up something like that with me so soon out off my meds? Geez, that's like kicking a guy when he's down.

BG-42 110 with nickle silver bolsters. Priced under a hundred bucks. Deal me in.

BG-42 Lightning or 110 (with or without finger grooves) would be terrific!

Just keep it under three figures. Some of us are not as well padded in the pocket.

And, given time, who knows? We may end up with both! One this time, ... and one next time!

Well I am so glad you guys are all of one mind, united on the details of this project...sheesh ; )

Jeff and I will review all the feedback and finetune the suggestions.

Thank you for interest and investment of your time and personnel to BladeFourms Mr. Buck. Jeff has been doing a great job on the Buck Knives Forum, but it's always nice to see the boss here.

There's a very large cross section of knife buyers here, so you'll see a wide variety of interests. Getting a consensus here is always a challenge.
