Special Bladeforums Buck?

Joe
Beg to differ on the last posts.
I for one (and more than a few others), would really like to see this long-awaited folder come out as a Model 110, titanium handles with a clip, BG 42 w/BF logo/serial #, and a dual thumb stud.

AL

My # 1 preference would also be the-
Model 110, titanium handles with a clip, BG 42 w/BF logo/serial #, and a dual thumb stud.
Sounds like most everyone agrees on 110/bg42 but could I live with some other variation, you bet. I'd really like to have one in damascus also while we are at it.

Titanium would be cool but I'l like to see something more traditional, but thats just my opinion. So, how about maybe a 110 or 112 with a slim profile titanium handle (instead of nickel-silver)with diamondwood scales.
Traditional looking yet, hi-tec. Of course, a removable pocket clip could be added, and a thumb stud might be nice. Could such a thing be done? ...and at a reasonable cost?

Hmmmm.....I'm thinking I could go with that, but I REALLLY would like to see full TI.

AL

Joe, I can live will any handle combination everyone decides on. I like the idea of Titanium handles if the diamond wood handles get shot down. I do want the Bladeforums logo and serial numbered blades.

Count me as one who'll go with whichever version gets the most backing. As Joe notes, if we don't have a consensus, it probably won't happen. We need to simplify and stay within the framework of stock models, not invent a new one. My .02, no offense.

Bottom line here for me is, put my name on the list, I have to say I haven't heard a Bad idea yet, so which ever variation it is, I do believe it will be neat.

So what we are looking at here is a basically a 560 with a BG-42 blade and a pocket clip. I'm assuming that since the 560 is no longer in production, it would be more difficult to produce again than to just modify a model that is already in production. Slap on some BG-42, a nifty grip, some engraving and you're in business.
The more I think about it; the better titanium sounds, but how easy would that be to produce? What are the odds of it actually being produced? What ever the verdict is, put me down for two!

Model 110 w/fingergrooves
BG42 w/dual thumbstuds
Tip-up removable pocket clip
BFC logo, serial numbered
$75 tops

I like the idea of black Anodized Ti handle, but I am flexible about handle material (there've been a lot of good ideas), however, if there are bolsters - not gold/brass colored.

I'll take one, Joe!

How about a 110, titanium bolsters and liners with checkered blue diamond-wood scales. BF logo engraved on the BG-42 blade. No pins in the scales, as whatever kind of epoxy you use really holds 'em on. Finger grooves, definitely. Hmmmm...I could live without the thumb stud but it would be really nice looking without the nail nick. No pocket clip.

Or whatever the final version turns out to be. Ya got my order for one as soon as it's announced.

That would be my second choice behind a straight ti finger groved handle 110. Either way I'm in.

I'd love to see one, but the only way I'll buy one is if it is either a drop point or a straight clip. I've tried the curved clip of the 110/112, and it doesn't work for me. That's the only reason that I haven't bought a Pete's Custom yet. If they ever offer something other than the curve-clip, then I'm in there.

Oh well,I'm sure they'll be good knives anyway.

Looks like we are making some headway! I just thought of something that will help simplify things. The main reason we discontinued the 560 titanium is because the plant that made the sides for us burned to the ground! The owner decided to call it quits. In other words, we can't get titanium sides. We have looked around for an alternate supplier but unless we want to wait and hope for a long while, we better make it a variation of the 110.

Count me in if this knife becomes reality. No Ti handled knife, well I guess we need to talk handle type and model. Both the #110 or #112 sound great. I'm partial to blue so I vote for blue diamond wood, but the other suggestions sound good also.

I have contacted Mike Turber in regards to this project. He is in suport of the project and we are beginning to work out the details. Looks like it will be sold through the Forums store, that much we know. I will keep everyone posted as to ordering instructions, once i know what they are!

Take care,
