Here is an eclectic group of some of my favorite sb whittlers.

From the left: Schrade, Robeson, H & B Mfg., NYK, Robeson, Schrade, Robeson, Camillus, Schrade and NYK.

Couple of Wharncliffe split backs, a KeenKutter and a Challenge.

The old ones are the best in regards to the secondaries. So dainty and finely ground I say we will never see this type of skill in a modern factory slipjoint again. GEC may hopefully prove me wrong someday....

It looks like somebody got a great deal on a '90 splitback Case whittler on the big auction site yesterday. I was following it but was away from devices when it ended. Maybe whoever got it will post it here.

I also missed a Winchester black box whittler at a local shop not long ago--he who hesitates...

Still on the hunt for my first splitback!

It is a little early for me to have an opinion on that yet . I have to look at my GECs and Case later tonight . I originally thought they both did a pretty good job on them . .
