Splitback Whittlers at their Best!

A pair of 3 7/8" stockman punch whittlers. The Remington is thicker. The punch on the Eagle was tipped and it has an unusual feature, the punch has a half stop.

Rare birds, there Rob!! Nice!!

;) The Northfield got sold, tempting offer  The Tidioute is in a slip on my desk and comes out to play, but not work rather frequently. A great pattern with a nice long Master.

Regards, Will
I fell prey to offers I could not refuse, also Will!
I used to have a full set!! But I kept these three - my favorites!!

Well Charlie, I know ;) some offers you could be foolish to ignore :) Anyway, it's a kind of 'filleting' process, makes you appreciate those that are left even more

Those three are choice, were a gun pointed at me and a command barked " CHOOSE ONE! " I'd recklessly reply, Why only one ? :D Probably the Stag as I'd be tempted to use it, but that Ebony has smoothness on its side....

Not only the materials used in these 38s, the F&F but also the proportions make for a very satisfying pocket-knife be it user or object of idolatry ;)

Regards Will

Will Power, that is my absolute, hands-down FAVORITE "green" GEC has ever done. I often find that I don't care for green bone knives. I've purchased several where I like the pattern, the execution, the trim, the shield....everything....except the green colored bone. The 85 and the 18 are prime examples. I bought them and liked everything....EXCEPT for the green color which ultimately killed it for me to the point that I sold them. But this green on the Tidioute #38 Grinlings is just great. I wish GEC would do more of it!
