So. Any of you guys wanna be a sport and fork out a ticket from Brisbane to LA then from there to somewhere close enough for me to hitchhike to the Boss' place? I'll just make a shelter in the woods and I won't eat anything I promise. I just wanna hang out. Actually, better make that two tickets. Gassy will want to come too..
Seriously though, have fun everybody. Wish I could be there with you all. You need some representation from your crazy Aussie cousins..
Say hi to Uncle E for me!
How much VB can you smuggle over?![]()
I'll be there probably around 8PM Friday night. Hammock.
I'm in. One fat guy swinging (assuming this weekend's test hang goes well).
Probably bring a couple gallons of OJ and some beer for public consumption. Will there be access to potable water at the camp or should I bring a case?
(I'm pretty well convinced that the only reason I keep getting invited back is, Angie always sends homemade snacks along with me... kinda like when I was a kid and Mom would tie a pork-chop around my neck so the neighborhood dogs would play with me)
Cool! I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
I'm glad to hear that you're gonna be there, Cooper. You will have a blast. Please bring those knives you got from me, so I can see how they've held up and give 'em a touch-up if they need it.
Re: water - There's no well up on the mountain as far as I know; each time I've been there there has been bottled water provided (by Ethan?) More bottled water is always welcome, of course.
Just bring whatever food/beverage items you enjoy and would like to share. Staples like eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, taters, onions, mushrooms etc will be welcomed... the breakfasts on Becker Mountain are legendary.
Local/regional/homemade stuff goes over very well! I've seen these lunatics get down on everything from homemade pickles and hot sauce to boudin "imported" from TX or LA (I forget which) to snails that Dex picked up somewhere along the way. They're an adventurous group... and they ain't scared to try something new

Definitely bring all of your cutting implements and survival/camping gear that you can carry. Everyone there likes to check that stuff out, and compare and discuss.
Most importantly, bring your ideas, your thoughts, your stories, your questions and your answers. Also, a camera.
did I get my order in for bacon rapped water chestnuts yet?![]()
did I get my order in for bacon rapped water chestnuts yet?
cooper - bring a piece of steel if you have a design you want to try making reality.
with luck I will have a functional portable propane forge at this one, so HT will be a definite possibility for simple steels.
Ahhh. Good idea! I've got a bar of Aldo's 1084 in 5/32" that could also be for public consumption.
if it's bacon wrapped, i will....
I'll bring the bacon.
