Spyderco Fakes & Knock Offs Info

Not sure how to compare date stamp on the blade to the box, tried it with a different military and no numbers seem to match up.

Here is a pic of the other side. Sorry for the bad lighting but it's night time here.
 
I'll leave maybe another member to answer that. I do not know if it is a spyderco top secret thing I can't tell but there is a website in Google that explains it all!!

But honestly to me just because of the pictures you have posted it looks original to me. If you have a scale you could measure weight on it and compare it to original specs. I remember a member found his was fake due to the major weight difference
 
Are there any reputable sellers on eBay that people on here use? I just bought a knife on there before finding this forum thread and am a little nervous that I got duped.
 
Is my para2 a fake? someone on EDC forums thought it was I bought it from Bladeswelove on ebay they have 1500feedback with 100% positive im just worried cause the person on edc forum thought it was fake

I've dealt with the same vendor you bought the knife from and have had nothing but positive transactions.

Thats what i thought i heard great things about the Vender i chose. I guess the person on edc forums is tryin to decieve people

I'm not 100% positive but actually my para 2 ( I have for a while back in 2012, the knock off exists ) doesn't have suck an angle one the transition from the blade to the plunge line. It's almost like a straight down 90 degree angle. But that's maybe just because of the picture.
 
Be aware guys, I checked and they have some new knockoffs going on there. After Golden and Taichung models, they are producing Seki's too! Spyderco Civilian and Caly 3 in black G10 are all over the place.

Here is what I found.

You can compare on the picture, I found out that the fake one's got an angled plunge line like yours, and in the picture on Spyderco's website, the plunge line seems to have a different angle, and the word marks are almost parallel with that line.
But then shockingly, I found out that the one that I had (exactly like yours) also has that angle. Seems like Spyderco has changed a little on the way they grind the blade, or the way they laser etch it. I think yours is legit. But then it's just my humble opinion since I only had 1 para2. Maybe somebody would correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Do you suggest i contact the seller on eBay ? It was à highly recommended dealer. I also noticed the grind on mine is uneven ill post a picture. But everything else seems legit
 
Which one are you referring to? The pm2? The pm2 is fake because the black finish is reflective, and the steel liners are painted black. Also the hardware seems to be all one size torx and the lanyard tube is painted black after it was cut(the real ones have a shiny exposed edge from the milling) oh, And i got that picture directly off the site that only sells fakes. As for the millie its the plunge line that gives it away seeing as he didn't show pictures of the backspacer amd refused to send them to me. And also he felt the need to say " authentic spyderco not a knockoff"
