Spyderco Fakes & Knock Offs Info

What do you guys think of this Warren Thomas Karambit, a guy posted this on Reddit asking if it was a fake and I'm leaning towards fake.

That is almost certainly a fake. Look at the groove machined into the handle scale to aid with disengaging the lock. It is much shallower than on a real C84. Also, the two holes drilled in the lock bar - although the Spyderco website shows them, they're smaller, and mine, which was purchased in 2007 or so doesn't have any. Another giveaway are the screws holding the knife together. On my real C84, the backs aren't filled in. Sorry, looks like you got taken.

It wasn't mine, there was someone asking if they bought a clone on Reddit Knifeclub, I told him it was a clone and offered to bring it here to confirm because others were saying it was real.

It makes me sick that there are so many clones in circulation. Reporting the sellers never seems to accomplish anything. The only thing that seems to work to get rid of these guys is to actually buy the knife using Paypal. After receiving the counterfeit, write to them using the Ebay messaging system. Try to use benign language like "I'm not saying that you knew, but this knife is a knockoff, I have a friend who works for Spyderco confirm it." If you can receive an answer back that implicates them in any wrongdoing (an "I'm not sure" is even adequate), open a case against them and put in the message box to Ebay that the knife is a counterfeit. Explain to Ebay that you have messages in the Ebay message system that prove it, then you'll receive a full refund and the user will have his Ebay account closed. I purchased a counterfeit Surefire weaponlight and used this same method. I received my refund and a note from Ebay that I wasn't required to return the counterfeit item, and within a few days his account was closed.

I've tried calling Ebay CS directly with little to no effect. The aforementioned method is the only way I know for certain to at least temporarily shut these guys down. If a seller has been selling counterfeits for awhile without any Ebay intervention, I implore you to loan some of your funds and do the same thing that I did to at least seriously inconvenience these scam artists. You're covered by Paypal no matter what, so you have nothing to lose but a little cash for a couple of weeks, and you'd be doing a great service to help remove these parasites.

Even if they steadfastly refuse to admit that there's a possibility that the knife is a counterfeit, you'll at least get your money back and can leave a negative feedback that can warn others to stay away.

I've been trying for years to shut down counterfeiters on Ebay and this is the only surefire way that I've found to eliminate these guys.

This seller on ebay is sell all fake spydercos, he even says so:
cellphonecaseplus_32

I reported all his knives week ago. I don't think anything happened.

To the best of anyone's knowledge, do I need to worry about counterfeit Schempp Tuffs on eBay or the forum marketplace?
