From here, it appears that a shipment of fake Spydercos dropped on the Russian market.

If the deficient blades were real Spydercos, the buyers would return them for refunds. It' best to buy from authorized dealers and avoid the fakes on ebay.

Really odd these guys aren't trying to get refunds ...
I do not believe in refunds . Even if they confirm that knife is genuine . Just feed the mail service ...

Well it took like 4 passes on my ceramic rod (1200 grit) and it's back to phone book paper push cutting sharp. :D

I got the knife today, it's dull... LOL

Have to sharpen it and see what it does.

I'm really looking forward to the results of this test! Make sure to videotape nonstop so that nobody can come up with some weird conspiracy theory! :D

There is no conspiracy theory at all. We used to do non stop video while testing to evaluate not only final result, but also cutting performance .

Right now it's as dull as a butter knife, that I do know....

Other than that we will have to see what happens after I sharpen it etc...

Sure! There was no need for Slava to sharpen the knife. We know about his sharpening method and following results. Now we are to discover the influence of sharpening method. I suppose.
