Spyfanman - Where is the birthday card (certificate of Authenticity)? the Conclusion

As I have read through this whole sordid affair, I continue to wonder what exactly must a member do to merit expulsion? I am new here, but not new to on-line forums nor on-line selling and buying. I respect the moderators' jobs of any given forum, and am not looking to damn someone gratuitously. That said, this situation seems fairly clear cut --> A seller knowingly misrepresented an item as "new" when it was not; a buyer made a purchase for a "new" item that was not "new"; an ugly "he said, he said" ensued, with the matter becoming public. The misrepresentation alone would appear to be sufficient for banning an individual; factor in the ongoing war of words, denials, etc. and it appears again to be sufficient cause for banning said individual. If not, I'm curious what more a person in a similar situation would need to do. Once the lines of trust and integrity have been compromised in a selling venue, there is no going back. Thus, the seller, whose trust and integrity are now seriously damaged, would seem to have no right to be here any longer.

Update as of Feb. 9th:

Mr. Dino Kalaitzidis,

Thank you for shipping the knife back to me to which I received and inspected this afternoon. Naturally, the birthday card I later mailed to you is not in the box. As far as the knife goes, everything looks good except I noticed the lockbar is now all the way to the other side - the exact reason the back scale was replaced in the first place. Although I do have photos of the lockup before I shipped it to you, regretfully I didn't include those photos in the original listing. Somehow I have a feeling the fellow members here would not be so willing to even believe my side should I post those photos now. I would only ask that you think twice in the future before physically abusing some one else's property. It was someone else's property the minute you decided to file that claim and in effect saying you do not want the item. I am pretty much over the whole thing at this point and although I would be willing to contest it with Paypal to the effect that the knife you shipped me was not the same knife I shipped you because you physically altered the lockbar, I have no "proof" as I didn't submit those photos to Paypal in the beginning of the claim. The time here is roughly 2:25pm Pacific Standard Time. At exactly 2:30pm Pacific Standard Time I will log into Paypal and "respond", following the steps to release the refund. Being this is my first claim I believe you will receive an e-mail shortly thereafter. I would ask you kindly.....please mail back to me the Birthday Card when you "find it".

Regards,

Wasn't the lack of the birthday card from the seller to the buyer part of the original thread about this transaction?

To reiterate......

Just to make it clear, what I need to see to ban a seller/trader/buyer is theft. At the end of the transaction, if one member ends up with the money and the goods, he's a thief. If at the end, one gets the money back and the other regains the goods, there may have been an attempt at theft, but FEEDBACK will tell you if you want to deal with either member yourselves.

If we go around banning incompetent sellers/traders/buyers, we would decimate the Exchange. Anybody can have a bad day. We don't need witch hunts for the fun of it. Be very suspicious when threads run on and on repetitiously. Be suspicious of posters who run on in black walls of text. Real problems are not complicated.

If you have the original parts for the knife which I assume you do, put them back on and send it in for warranty service. Not gonna point any fingers here but making a frankenbenZa may have caused the crappy fit but just send it in for warranty service. But alas the drama continues.....

Right you are. I do have the original parts for the knife, however thanks to Mr. Kalandtzis I am unable to sell the knife as it is since he phyically bent the lockbar forward negating the whole purpose for the "upgrade" in the first place. THAT is why he refused and twisted my sincere apology because he knew he already damaged the knife. Now that he refuses to send me back the Birthday card I later mailed to him I am unable to even send it in for warranty if I so chose. So, not only did he trash my sales thread, abused the ability to resolve our original issue privately instead of publicly, pre-maturely jumped into a claim, but then, and even worse, he twisted my apology to further his own agenda, has the rest of the knife community here convince me to do the right action and end the claim in half the time it normally would have taken and in favor of him. Despite my choices to do right, even if it was at a later time period, he then physically altered the knife I shipped him and refuses to ship back the Birthday Card. I think before people start pointing fingers at the individual standing on the plank, they should in turn stop, take a look around, look at the evidence and see the captain at this helm is quite the masterful tactician. Well, Mr. Kalaitzidis, I applaud you for your handywork, it is one that even an apprentice scammer could admire.

You Got Back Everything I Received from You Nothing More, Nothing Less. I Owe You Nothing.

Mr. Kalaitzidis,

I think you are sadly mistaken and owe me quite more actually. In addition to the Birthday Card I later mailed to you, you owe me, RWS, and everyone else here and apology for lying about me making that phone call. You owe us all an apology for twisting my sincere apology (the whole intent to this new thread btw) and for furthering your own agenda. I guess you and I are quite different people and come from different stalk as I could not live with myself not having made the right decision to reverse the claim when the "light switched on". Yet you can live with purposefully slandering another forum member, spitting on what was a sincere motion to do right, and then lying about it all to everyone. I guess to you, two wrongs do make a right.

Rarely has anyone continuously posted so wordy, yet remained to say so little...

This is the last post I am going to make concerning You and Your Bull, understand this I Would NOT disrespect the knife because of You. You received the same knife you sent me in the same condition and I Do Not Know what the hell You are talking about when you say I Have The Birth Day Card, I sent everything that belongs to YOU, BACK TO YOU. I know you like having the last word but as far as I'm concerned, I'm Done Here.

As this is a forum that is open to all members, we need to be watching our behavior and language here.

I'd say if Dino has the birthday card, he needs to return it.

That is all I am asking for. Thank you. Here is the picture taken of the B-day card which I submitted to Paypal just before sending it to Mr. Kalaitzidis. Please do the right thing here sir and send it back for me as I am not sure I can contact Chris Reeve and have them re-issue me a new one.

spyman........wow. im gonna leave it at that. i think you should close your thread now.

Just because you have the picture of the birthday card does not mean you sent it to Dino. I doubt Dino would want anything from you at this point. Anything to twist/distort/demean your target (Dino) you have employed. How could you think that RWS is sided with you and wants an apology from Dino? This is another grifter move.

Why would Dino mess with the lockbar? RWS called you out on your claims bs. I bet it drove you nuts that someone was able to think ahead a few steps of you. You are so arrogant, you tried it anyways. Amazing grifter is amazing.

So you did have the original parts the entire time. You could have handled this whole situation very differently by sending the original parts but it's too late for that.

All other things aside, just put the original parts back on the frankenbenZa and send it in for warranty service and stop being a drama queen.

there is a law of ropes- If you give someone enough rope, they will hang themselves. Spy seems to be working that theory quite well. He will either lash out and slander his opponent, or vie for alliances such as he tried with RWS. His tactics are tried and true over the years of grifters, but luckily, with the spread of information across the internet, and it's easy access, news spreads faster than ticks at a summer time dog show. The birthday card is a deception and a distraction to try to misdirect the attention to the main point. The fact that Spy had the original parts, and did not sell the "new" knife with them, shows he had other intentions for them. It is a sorry state of affairs, when one sells his soul for monetary gain.
