Spyfanman - Where is the birthday card (certificate of Authenticity)? the Conclusion

I am a retired Postal Service manager. I didn't ban people who failed to meet the requirements of the position, I fired them. I like banning better. Not fun severing someone's connection to a steady paycheck.

But I am now tired and irritable from dealing with difficult situations which are so often exacerbated by bystanders who delight in getting their own comments in, even if those comments have little if anything to do with SOLVING THE PROBLEM. No thanks for making it harder for me to slog through page after page looking for something meaningful.

This thread is not a joke.

Thanks. I will take that as a compliment. At least I hope that is what it is meant to be.) I just don't like to see an otherwise innocent guy, past proven seller, being labeled a swindler even if the first part of his name is SPY as the real ones out there are in the shadows doing their dirty work.

It doesn't surprise me at all that you would take it as a compliment.
Many times, being persistent is an admirable quality....this is NOT one of those times.

IMHO, you should give something serious consideration.
You apparently feel the description of the knife as new was a valid one by the definition of new you use. In all these multi-pages everyone disagrees with you.
Seriously, whenever EVERYONE holds an opposing viewpoint, it's time to step back and consider the possibility, however faint, that you might be wrong.
Continuing to argue, comment, debate, or just rant on, does nothing to improve your position...it only makes you look more suspect.

Also, giving Dino negative feedback seems spiteful and just makes you look petty.

This scab will never heal if you keep picking at it.

Maybe just add this to your sig line or have it needle-pointed and framed:
Well, when a superMod says it is a good idea to "shut up", I guess it might be wise to listen. :foot:

My sincerest apologies.I have withdrawn my comments, and all previous comments made in this thread.I should not have made light of a serious situation or been disrespectful to anyone here.Sorry I can't do anything about those that were quoted by other members. Please forgive me.

SPY falsely representing the knife seems to me to be the core of all this (of course his refusal to return the money and his constant "I Love Me and you should too because I'm also a victim" posts are also issues).

But really, how often does something look the same on a computer as it does in real life, i.e. the inability to tell the slabs were two different shades but, he claims that it was represented in the pics? He seems to stand by this preposterous notion that even though he didn't state the differences, the evidence was in the photos. Wrong. If he had integrity, he would have stated the changes to the knife up front.

Nontheless, as I watch this train wreck created by SPY's lack of full disclosure and integrity, it occurs to me that Magnaminous_G was onto something. Spyfanman's sarcasm in his posts (particularly in #232) seems evidence to me. And the more attention he gets, the happier he is.

But that's just me...

gentlemen,

A thought has just occurred to me... what if SPY is a master troll, and all these combined 20 pages of enraged posts, in which he expertly works the crowd into a fury... are the end-game envisioned by a master craftsman? What if the whole thing was orchestrated, from the swapping out of the Sebenza parts to the seller's ad to the sale of the knife to this very thread here, all so that this would turn into an epic thread?

If that is the case, gents, then we must stop berating SPY immediately. And instead, we must bow before him. For he would truly be a master among trolls.

- Mag

p.s. - but I'm leaning toward him just being a nutter

SPY, your knife just hit your PO box and I'm sure paypal sent you an email, go get your knife and I would appreciate you recording it at the PO as I did when shipping.

Hopefully this will all be over soon. It would be good if he would seek professional help, but he obviusly doesn't think he needs it...

This episode with SPY should be a warning to Both Sellers and Buyers. Never pay using Paypal Gift for the Buyers and Never Misrepresent what your Selling for the Sellers.

Hello,

Congrats! It is an awesome knife, so nice I just haven't been able to bring myself to use it. Payment can be sent to XXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com. PP "gift" much appreciated but not required. Thanks and I will try to have it out for you tommorrow.

Ryan

Update as of Feb. 9th:

Mr. Dino Kalaitzidis,

Thank you for shipping the knife back to me to which I received and inspected this afternoon. Naturally, the birthday card I later mailed to you is not in the box. As far as the knife goes, everything looks good except I noticed the lockbar is now all the way to the other side - the exact reason the back scale was replaced in the first place. Although I do have photos of the lockup before I shipped it to you, regretfully I didn't include those photos in the original listing. Somehow I have a feeling the fellow members here would not be so willing to even believe my side should I post those photos now. I would only ask that you think twice in the future before physically abusing some one else's property. It was someone else's property the minute you decided to file that claim and in effect saying you do not want the item. I am pretty much over the whole thing at this point and although I would be willing to contest it with Paypal to the effect that the knife you shipped me was not the same knife I shipped you because you physically altered the lockbar, I have no "proof" as I didn't submit those photos to Paypal in the beginning of the claim. The time here is roughly 2:25pm Pacific Standard Time. At exactly 2:30pm Pacific Standard Time I will log into Paypal and "respond", following the steps to release the refund. Being this is my first claim I believe you will receive an e-mail shortly thereafter. I would ask you kindly.....please mail back to me the Birthday Card when you "find it".

Regards,

If you have the original parts for the knife which I assume you do, put them back on and send it in for warranty service. Not gonna point any fingers here but making a frankenbenZa may have caused the crappy fit but just send it in for warranty service. But alas the drama continues.....

Mr. Dino Kalaitzidis,

everything looks good except I noticed the lockbar is now all the way to the other side....... Somehow I have a feeling the fellow members here would not be so willing to even believe my side should I post those photos now. I would only ask that you think twice in the future before physically abusing some one else's property. s,

I think we all knew you'd spew more bs to try and make it look like you're a partial victim in all this.

I not only don't believe you, I don't believe you so much that I believe you don't really exist. You're a figment of the imaginations of every good member here....a turd who resurfaces to stink up the place, and as much as we'd like to see it, you can't be flushed.

IMO: Plain and simple, you're nothing less and nothing more than a sociopathic nutjob. You sold your soul for a couple bucks, you lieing pos.

He is setting the stage (again) by planting the lie that the knife has been somehow damaged and insinuating it was not returned in good condition and then posting the two(2) emails which clearly state his "planted" lie constitutes grounds for a counter claim - he is sending a message. "It is my decision as to whether this really ends or not".
The drama and the attention would then continue. The fact that this man is a manipulator and continues to lie was my issue from the beginning.
This is a game to him.
If he chooses to not appeal the claim ( He would lose, he already admitted he has NO proof, because it didn't happen) he looks (in his mind) like he "again" did the right thing in the face of unfair treatment.
It's a win/win (in his mind)

Wow

at this stage in the game SPYfanman is a troll. of course the lock doesn't work. the knife, which was built to tight tolerances, was modified, negating those tolerances. where the lockbar lands now is anyone's guess, since parts of that knife weren't fitted to that knife. The knife was too good to use, as he told dinokay, but not too nice to dismantle and change the parts? Please.

Buying, selling and trading online is wholly dependent on trust. Once that trust is violated, it harms Bladeforums and the entirety of the knife community, a community that prides itself on honor and integrity. The only thing Spyfanman, aka Ryan Posey contributes to this forum and the knife community as a whole is dishonesty and mistrust...I respectfully submit that his presence be made unwelcome here at Bladeforums and his account terminated. He has failed to maintain any degree of integrity or even a modicum of honor throughout this affair.

SHIPPING WAS MORE THAN $5.00 BUT THAT'S OK
