Wood handled. I like them!

Update on blade steel:

Navy k631 and Enlan EL02 seem to hold the edge about similarly. SRM 763 is a bit softer. Comparison done by doing a full A4 paper shredding using each. SRM 763 cannot finish the full page without tearing in the midst of slicing off the paper. This is done after fully sharpened and stropped blades to about same level of finish and edge angle.

When I got it, every screw in the thing was loose enough to turn by finger and there was blade play in every direction.

I disassembled it and cleaned it up, then put it back together with lock-tite and a little CLP on the pivot. No more blade play and opens a lot smoother:thumbup:

It's a neat design and I carry it from time to time, but don't have the skills to really use the thing like the original LLC was design for:D

Just go the Enlan El02b G10 stone washed finish. This is my first of these Chinese knives and I do have to say I'm impressed. Overall feels very similar to a Rat-1. The axis lock works just as well as my Mini Grip did. I have a SRM 710 and 763 on the way.

I just got a EL-02b in a trade, I really like it, damn near a perfect EDC. I would have preferred a polished blade but beggars cant be choosers.

It's not perfect because it is too damn heavy... It does not have skeletonized liners... Other than that it's very good!
I had one and I couldn't get used to its weight on my pocket so I bought a 5.11 single mag pouch to carry the knife on my belt.

There is a lot to like there, yes indeed. I own the EL02b and EL024, among others.

But a company that makes so many decent products with such an oddball pivot, without giving its customers any way to tighten the knives when they inevitably loosen, well there's something wrong with that.

I've asked the dealers and they can't help.

So I thought, hey, maybe we customers should start agitating to get the manufacturer to come out with a pivot tool....you know, consumer power.

Then I realized: Who you gonna write?....There is no service of any kind with these knives and no way that I know to contact the maker...What you see is what you get

So, as much as I like them, I'm not buying any more with that damn, goofy pivot until the company learns the basic lesson of how to support its own products.

I guess you hate your car, bicycle and/ or motorcycle as well..All of these things use parts, that require special tools to work on.I find it easy to tighten these knives using a rubber cork with 3 tiny nails..If tightening a linkage ,as simple as that on your knife, is the worst servicing problem you ever run into, you are a lucky guy..Try adjusting the valves on a modern motorcycle.

You don't have to build the tools to service your car, bicycle or motorcycle.

Boker also uses an oddball pivot on some models; but Boker will send you the tool if you ask for one.

Try asking SRM for anything.

It's just you and your home-made cork and nails, that may or may not work.

Just received this a few days ago. To say I'm impressed is an understatement.

This is a $10 knife - $9.95 to be exact - and it is extraordinary at it's price point. Blade is evenly ground, sharp and perfectly centered. Fit and finish is spot on. Opens and closes like butter (after about twenty or so cycles). Edges of the knife body are slightly beveled and smooth.

If you are on the fence about this knife - hop off and get one.

BTW - it's a Sanrenmu 710

Re the 710 -- get a bunch -- that way you'll have plenty when your friends want to borrow yours.

The home made pivot screw tools work. Buying these comes with knowlegde that there's no Customer Service, also imperfection expected.

As an example, getting original Endura FFG or Military, it will not require work such as what was done on my Navy (see photo above). IMHO, nothing to be complained about.e photo above). IMHO, nothing to be complained about.

I haven't had a problem adjusting the pivot on my enlans, my snap ring pliers work just fine. How many knives dont have a pivot adjustment at all? all of your traditionals, 110, my first gen delica. And as far as weight goes, I regularly EDC a 110, CSAR-T, Alpha Hunter and a JYD2, (although usually not at the same time), its not that heavy. It reminded me a little bit of my Vantage, but built twice as heavy, which is the one slight complaint I have about my Vantage.

I like this folder a lot.. Bee L01
IMG_1443.jpg
It is quality finished and has a refined blade shape..Not as heavy as the big Enlans ,but perfect for everyday use..It easily matches the fit and finish of my more expensive knives..Many of my Spyderco's don't have the tight lockup of this knife. An Amazing blade for the money.

el02 is easy, just take a long nose plier with a sharper tip or a c clip plier and insert the two points into either of the three holes. It works 100% of the time for me.

Tried that -- haven't found one that fit. In fact, tried every tool I could think of.
