Just got my 763 and WOW is all I can really say. It's pretty unbelievable what they can do with a few dollars. The quality is top notch like everyone has mentioned. Blade centering is absolutely Perfect. The one thing, and this is actually a good thing is that this bugger is a lot smaller than it seems. All the pictures and youtube videos don't really allow it to be conveyed,
Compared to my Delica, the handle is about an inch shorter with about the same cutting surface on the blade. It's also about the same thickness as the Delica (nice and thin). The fr"Axis" lock is great, VERY similar to my Mini-Grip. There are 2 phosphor bronze bushing in mine. One thicker one and one thinner one that looks to be on top of a nylon washer. Smooth action, still in break-in period though. Got mine off of ebay for about $11. It took exactly 2 weeks to the day to get to me on the east coast of the US from china, pretty impressive for cut rate shipping.
So yes, the hype is correct, these damn things are pretty great

If you could let us know about the quality of the knife or lack there of that would be cool.
The little 763 feels good in my hand and I like the light-weight, jimping and, especially, the wider blade. I slightly perfer the G10 version to the metal handles.
I could do without the somewhat garish handle butt, clip and bottle opener.

Any fit and finish deviation of wood against G10? Does it vary more, or still as consistent as Enlan is?

Wood having variations is given. Thanks for confirmin fit & finish. That's what I'm curious, especially the way the handle is formed.

OK, that does it. I'm buying an EL-04.
Can anyone advise me on the G10 version vs. the micarta version (EL-04MCT)? I've done a search but not found much on the differences. Advice would be greatly appreciated!

A seller sent an aluminium 763 by mistake and I am don't like it. I prefer the g10 better and its not practical in saltwater. Had specifcally told him no aluminium.
Finally got the 710 in stainless. liked it better than the black 710 which feels slippery.
I do not have the g10 el04 but the mct version is quite nice to touch. I also like the grind of the blade. It isn't so hollow. I am not sure if its called a flat grind.

The G10 version is slimmer because of the slightly thinner scales. You can find a mini review about the EL04 micarta version with some pics here.
