Wow. The "borrowed" Bokers thing is crazy... pretty blatant. But I bet they sell a bunch.

Anyone think this may impact Enlan El01 availability? They won't be disco'ing will they? That would be stupid.

I would think that the only impact will be prices will go up.
I got a funny feeling they won't stay low for real long. If enough companies give them street cred, you know what the next step is.

Smoke em if you got em.

The Magnum series by Böker have always consisted of rebranded Chinese OEM knives. This has nothing to do with "borrowing" as you call it.
It is good that the excellent EL01 will now get wider exposure with the wider availability of the Böker brand.

My new Leen 1203-2 folder:

I think this will be the new rival for the Sanrenmu 710. Here is my short review with additional pics.

Thanks for bringing this one to my attention! Almost immediately after you posted this, I found and ordered one for myself. Since I got it, I've carried it and it's on the verge of replacing the Sanrenmu 763 as my favorite EDC knife (this is extremely high praise as I really love that 763).

The Leen's grey finish coating is classy and it just feels good in the hand (Better than my 710). Blade centering and lock-up were perfect as was the blade grind (my 763 was off by a lot). Don't know about the G-10 version - I may have to try that one next.

You're welcome. :)
Last weekend I took mine for a three day hiking trip:

The general shape of that Leen is rather nice, but I find the bolts that stick out a bit messy.

Just a thought, find the right size socket, dremel or grind away 3 spaces leaving 3 teeth.
Might work.

I guess it struck me as a blatant because rebranding usually involves altering the design in some way. All they did there is slap the name on it.

For the record, I'm not complaining. Didn't intend for it to come across like that. I agree that it is good to see these designs popping up. That said, I am going to snatch up an EL01 a little earlier than I had planned partly because of this Boker being released. I'm sure many people will get wise to the enlan connection before too long.

Nice. Your site turned me on to this very pretty knife.

Ordered two 1203-2's from ebay. One is fairly stiff but can [barely] be opened using the thumbstud. The other is ridiculously stiff... stiffest new folder I have ever bought! No way can I open it with the thumbstud. Lubed it with RemOil and that didn't even help. And no, I don't have little wussy fingers. :p

Really wish there was some way to adjust these ghey proprietary pivots!
dammit

I i want to share some pictures of my favourites knives in the field. Recently i was in a little trip and took a couple blades with me to test. And the result was excelent
