I knife people!! I want to ask your particular experience with the Inron MY803 over the time. Some people complain with the locking mechanism.
I i saw in youtube there is some lockbar faliure and blade play.

Whats your experience with the Inron MY803 ??? over the time? How it performed ?

Well, mine's in a box waiting to give away.

Sadly, it is not one of the better Chinese imports I have seen. It only looks that way in photos.

Sorry to hear that. I already oredered one to test. My only worry is the locking mechanism. Although is not going to be hard use by me, just EDC and minor cutting task. As long as it does not have blade play and wiggle i'll be happy

Thanks for the tip.

Anyone had bad long term bad experience with it ?

My inron 803 is good. Good f&f, very beautiful blade shape and no blade play. I have not tested the lock system, i don't know if you must confide in it. For me it has a too slim frame lock, i like the frame of the el08 more. But if you find it cheap i think it is good enough.

I'm reluctant to bash the Inron because, if others like it, who am I to say they're wrong?

Plus, I may gift it and the recipient might see this.

That said, I do feel an obligation to let potential buyers know that my Inron 803 is disappointing. While there's nothing wrong with it, the quality isn't near what we're used to seeing with the best products from SRM and Enlan.

I hope that helps.

Update: my couple of years old SRM 763 that has been my EDC now has a "play" on the axis. The spring doesn't maintain tension enough to keep the blade closed and the bar can rattle back & forth a bit. Other than that, it's ok, as it still locks up well when open, although with weaker tension. My guess is that both spring 'gives'

Flash, it seems that you keep getting lemos ;)

Chris,

Sorry to say, I suspect my Inron is typical of the 803 and not a lemon.

Agree.

I have three, having bought black, orange, and brown scaled versions all at same time. Heck, the main grind on top front of blade aren't the same on any of the three, and one has no bevel at all on one side. The scales on the orange and brown aren't the same texture as the black, either.

They still seem to be good solid knives for use though, and love the shape and feel and heft, even if they are quite blatantly um, "inspired" by the Hinderer.

I have had my Inron 803 for about 4-5 months . I also bought the 3 pack and 2 of the 3 were good. 1 had blade play in every direction. I was able to fix it by taking it apart and bending the lock bar in . The blade has held an edge ok . I think Inron's QC needs some help. My knives came dirty and gritty but with some work they functon pretty smooth.I have not had any problem with the lock disengaging .I do think Enlan offers better knives for the same money but I would not say the 803 is total crap. It is a decent knife with a cool look to it and a fun knife to mod.

Howdy.

Just got my Ganzo G711 yesterday.

I'm always curious when something similar to the originals comes along.

The 440C was razor sharp and the handle was very filling and comfortable.

The blade centering was quite off and with a full strip down, I still couldn't get it centered...unlike my 710 and 704 which was perfect out of th box.

Other than that, another winner from Ganzo

I also just got a G711.I liked how it's a full flat ground, don't mind the handle shape and how it's solid like a rock.On the contrary, mine wasn't razor sharp; easily remedied in a minute or two.Along also was another Enlan EL02B and one of each of the pivot tools.I found that the triangular one was larger than the triangle pivot screw head that resulted in marred it.The other, pin style tool was not much better, the pins were tapered and much smaller than the holes in the pivot screw;alot of play.Basically both tools were no where close to an exact and proper fit.Not worth the money I paid for them at all.

Has anyone else bought these tools have an opinion on these and the quality.

Man that new G711 looks really nice. I've already got a g704 and g710. I might add this one too. While i agree than ganzo and navy are not as good in quality as SRM / BEE / ENLAN, i do prefer them because their pivot screws are regular torx. BTW, i wonder why knife companies don't use robertson / square screws for the blade constructions? I find them to be the best as they don't strip nearly as easy as torx, diamond etc... hmmm

I use a small plier with rounded tip that is commonly used for handling and creating bijouterie. Is used to manage small wire. Those fit perfectly on the Enlan pivot screws

"IMPORTANT INFO FOR OWNERS OF THE GANZO G711"

I've been using this knife occasionally for the past one and a half weeks, and a few days ago,I made a disturbing discovery after looking a bit carefully at the lock which was covered with a dusting of lint.Upon a further inspection,I noticed a faint shadow in the lint of where the lockbar engaged and it was only engaging only about 1/32 to 1/16 on the blade's tang.So I proceed to spine whack it and on the first try it fails.I then try the same on all my other Ganzo knives the G701,G702,G704,G710, and my EL-02s,all of which pass the test.

So,it clearly is a defect.Although the G710 has the same amount of lock engagement it did pass.

Good warning.

Impact / jarring lock release can happen due to less friction on the mating surface.

It did happen to my 763 when lubed, but not when oil removed from the lockbar & tang (mating surface). STR has good analysis on this, checkout his forum's sticky on tips & tricks.

Great advice. Mine works perfect. I smacked a few times against a wooden table with brute force and the lock worked perfectly.

I think this torture tests are not ment to be for this Chinese knives.

I use the knifes for EDC and I like to know that in case of necessary I can depend on my folders

Does anyone know about K.O. Knives? I saw them on Ali express as I was looking for a District 9. They look just like them Ti handles and D2 blade. Looks solid for great price.

Take a look there is a new Ganzo knife model. Check on your knife provider. I don't remind the model. Later I'll show you some pictures

Very very interesting, some time ago i saw the same. I have the ganzo g710 and the enlan el04MCT and the lockbar engages more blade tang on the el04 (much more) than on the g710. And the "click" sound is much louder (much more again) on el04
than on the g710.

I'm interesting on ganzo g711 and right now the g712 (amazing blade style and handle) but i dude due to if they could have a weak lock up...
