Stolen Knife Alert

"Open forum or not, one should be wise enough to know that we have more than enough
extra lawyers who would love to go after someone for libel and slander when they have
willingly and knowingly damaged someone's reputation for absolutely no reason whatsoever'

Send them on, you have not proven your case.

I will be happy to talk to them, you have my address, be careful at the front gate, the property is posted for a reason.

But of course threats are common in flame wars, and I see you have gone to the L word.

Read em and weep folks.

OK I'm done.

I hope I have not caused any friction within the forum, I was just trying to report a stolen knife,

Rhonda and Company has my email address and my home address.
I suggest they use those in the future, I've already been down this road once, months ago

I will not continue to take up forum time and space over what has become a flame war. I have once again proved my case, except this time it was in a public forum.

All others are welcome to contact off line..

I still want my knife.

You can only get upt to $175.00 dollars from PayPal (they give up to $200.00 but they charge a $25.00 processing fee). Thats after 6 months of hassle. Been there, done that. Good luck.

"FEEDBACK: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly!"

Fine with me, have the moderator move it.

But please leave a stolen knife report for any to see.

Thanks

Josietex, you will not consider just sending in your certified letter and getting your $ back per Job's offer? You may still be disgruntled about the whole affair, but at least you would be disgruntled with $225 more in your pockets!

I'm gonna cook some popcorn and buy a 12 pack... :D

josietex, whatever dialogue you've had with the seller in the past, you now have a public statement that they'll refund your money as soon as you provide them with the documentation they'll need to collect on the insurance. (That's the way it works; they need a written statement from you before they can collect.) Whatever problems, confusion, arguing, whatever happened before they made that statement is no longer of any importance. If you go on arguing now you're an idiot.

He said that there has been no communication except for an email saying he wasn't going to get anything. If they just came on here and said that to save face then that is probably why he hasn't. I'm sure if it was that simple he would have done it. The good, bad, and ugly is also the place to get problems like this sorted out. So others know what happens with a seller and buyer for future reference and it is meant for everyone to see.

However, none of us really know what has gone on except the buyer and seller. I will say that it is a little silly to come threaten with lawyers about slander when the name of the establishment has yet to be mentioned. You can't slander when a name isn't mentioned.

I hope everything is figured out. I could see someone being upset about a custom knife selling way below it's value and it getting "lost in the mail." I guess the seller seems to be providing more info and I have been screwed over by people so I am taking his side until more information comes to light. I am also disabled and have spent a lot of time in a hospital for varying lengths of time and I know how things can get put on hold and forgot about so I understand the elapsed time.

Good luck and I hope the right and honest thing is done with all involved.

You are obviously right Wire Edge.

As Josietex has already admitted on this site, the original win date was much prior to
Aug 16, 2008 and, trusting him from his previous transactions, Rhonda, since I was
deathly ill at the time with lung disease, sent the knife which was subsequently delisted
and sold based on the first commitment to him. He is fully aware that the last knife prior
to that was shipped three weeks prior to that in July, 2008.

This is sooo simple. Send the certified statement that you did not receive the knife on August
13, 2008 and you get the money.

The statements you typed onto the site are not copies of any direct copies of an
e-bay transaction report and anyone who has looked at one would know it.

And yes, after much of the above back and forth almost a year and a month after the
fact, I again reiterated that you should send me the certified letter that you did not
receive a knife on August l3, 2008 and we get you your money. Only after that did I
indicate we were done. What could be simpler?

And, sir, you did publish to the world a direct link to my site on Ebay that does link directly to my and my wife's name.

Just send the certified statement.

And save the electronic space for someone that needs it.

As I mentioned before, there was NEVER any offer of a refund before today and yes I really do have a email from past and the seller saying that he was through with me and I was not getting anything.

So ,Rhonda, if your reading this then send your form or simply refund the money on PayPal. Either way we'll have yet another real live document.

Rhonda, are you aware that YOU posted my name and town all over the world? Not too cool in this day of electronic scammers.

BTW, I do business on Ebay a lot, yes due to disabilities, and I have as near a perfect record as you can have.

I buy mostly, this saves me from having to get out and fighting the crowds, and I am listed by the same name as above.

Josietex.

A real bummer about this is that I respected the sellers background in metallurgy and knife making so I went way above in my trust of the seller.

None the less I am not soured on the world and Job may just be getting too old to function in the business world, that is a suggestion I have for the problems and excuses exhibited in this case and pretty much matches up with what I have seen from oldsters near the end of the trail.

I will send this post to Rhonda via email so she is aware of my desire for a refund.

Still I'd like the knife better.

Any out there have a Bagwell Cable Knife for sale? Small enough to carry on a Tractor and use on round bales.

Thanks

Why don't you do this instead? You are acting very ignorant in this matter.

Above he says that this was the first he has heard of this. To me, with the lawyer threats, seeming dismissal of his claim, as well as seemingly not cooperating with showing proof of shipping I would say that I am leaning toward the OP in this matter, especially as he says that he has emails stating (and posting proof of sale) that they are done with him.

Hopefully now that they have posted the refund requirements this matter can be finalized.

That's not real nice insulting the poster and calling him ignorant when he stated this was the first he had heard of that offer from the seller. It was also addressed by someone else earlier in the thread who must have also failed to read everything.

It's a little ignorant to start throwing insults without reading all that has been presented so far...
