Stone Cold Shame

It's actually a very functional knife.

4"clip point blade
5" simple, g10 handle, no liners
Cts XHP steel with dlc

Thumb studs with tip up left, right carry.

Awesome.

It's a design that Buck should have capitalized on with there 110 bucklite.

I'd buy this knife

Because Stone Cold said so!

And that's the bottom line!

You got it wrong, it's " and that's the bottom line cause stone cold said so "
But hey at lest you know about Austin 3:16:thumbup:

Imma buy this knife. Its a winner
I loved
Stone Cold
Growing up in the 1990s

This should be awesome

Liners are a peace of mind thing. I like having them, and don't mind added weight. 6 oz. pocket knives never bothered me for edc, and often even carry a secondary option with larger folders. Like said though, I like my linerless Buck Bantam well enough; give it an xhp and slightly larger blade upgrade, TriAd lock upgrade over a standard backlock, g10 over Thermoplastic, I'm definitely going to try and snag one in the hopefully near future. The Rattlesnake has nothing to do with it though, I just like the design and options plus price price point...

I grew up in the 80's more, ricky the dragon, jake the snake, L.O.D. and Hulkamania, and was already starting to phase out of wrestling by the early 90's... With very marginal interest I was more of a Goldberg/TheRock fan in the mid-late 90's..

Yea I'm actually surprised it's a great design, I'm sure stone cold being a knife guy helps.

I was apprehensive about the knife until I saw the design and specs.

Nothing wrong with heavy folders.

I just find myself not carring them if they are cumbersome or inconvenient.

And I love big, lightweight folders. That's my grail.
Personally,
This is the supercharged buck 110 I've been waiting for.

The price is amazing too.

As far as I know Steve Austin is one more championship wrestling buffoon who bleeds a lot and I wouldn't know him on the street from Bear Gryls. My rule of thumb is to avoid knives with any name attached to them other than a knife maker.

I own several Cold Steels and think they are a greatly improved company lately. The Austin knife in orange looks like it would be a nice, solid laundry room toolbox keeper....something to open the lid to three -- four times a year and know it's there.

I don't mind the knife, and I like Steve Austin and professional wrestling, but I don't like Cold Steel. It's funny how folks who seem to have never watched wrestling are saying that wrestling fans are the mall ninja/meat slashing types. Have you watched a TV show like The Walking Dead, Gotham, Turn, Vikings, etc? Must be a mall ninja type. Because if you have watched them, you've essentially done what anyone else does when they watch wrestling. It's a show with characters, they talk and fight, there's a story, and if you ask just about anyone who watches it or has been to a live show, they're probably going to tell you it's good entertainment.

I agree much of with this. Virtually NOBODY will ever admit to watching 'pro wrassling', yet SOMEONE'S butts are filling up the seats at all those WWE shows every week. My sister-in-law has a younger female cousin who used to be a professional wrestler, but she wrestled for an outfit called TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling several years ago. It's nowhere near as easy as most people seem to think.

I'm actually not surprised that Steve Austin is a knife guy. He's apparently an avid outdoorsman as well as having a ranch. I wouldn't be surprised if WWE wrestler (and former UFC heavyweight champion) Brock Lesnar were also a knife guy.

As for Cold Steel, I'm not a fanatic, but they do have some excellent knives. I try to separate the product from the hype/controversy. If they ever released a Broken Skull minus the logo, and especially if it had a satin or stone-washed blade, I'd probably get one in a heartbeat.

Steve Austin knife has to be better than Steven Segal plastic walking stick...

I'm sure that Austin owns and carries lots of different knives/knife brands. Most of us carry different knives from various brands depending how the mood strikes us. If he's a 'knife guy', why should we expect someone like him to be any different? He can certainly afford any knife he wants.

Ahem, but he carries a Cold Steel knife and that dictates he has to be looked at as a "mall ninja" (whatever that means) here by some high-brows here on BF! hehe!

I know this is silly, but I balked a bit when I read that Steve Austin had a hand in the design of the Cold Steel Broken Skull I. Something about his persona. Might be a lovely man in real life though.

The knife on it's own merit looks awesome. Slim, 4" clip point at 3 oz in XHP for under $100! Like a Buck 100 and an Al Mar ultralight had some sort of bastard child and then sent him to Cold Steel boot camp to give him a spine. Needless to say, I want one... Or 4.
He had no hand in it, other than he loved it, and Cold Steel slapped Broken Skull on it. It is a DLC, G10 handled, XHP Lone Star Hunter.

I agree that it's just a good marketing strategy. First of all Stone Cold hasn't wrestled for over ten years. He's more a legend than a wrestler because the only people that remember him wrestling are in their mid twenties or older. Like Strategy9 pointed out that's the perfect demographic to advertise to. Males aged 24-26 drive so much of the consumer market it's it even funny. Cold Steel simply saw a chance to align with a star that most men of this age will probably remember, and more than likely remember fondly. Nostalgia sells knives pretty well, and of course Steve Austin doesn't mind getting paid.

Frankly it looks like it's a good thing Steve Austin knows a good knife and it's not some horribly impractical POS

If he's a fellow knife nut, then why doesn't he join the bf :D

Does anyone else hate hearing personal things about celebrities ?
I have no clue what the issues are with Steven segal ( it sounds like he was found to be kind of an a hole in real life ? )
Cause celebrities are also human , so I just try to ignore things like this ( unless was it's something really bad like murder, or terrorism or something ) so I can just enjoy the awesome ass kicking movies.

Does this knife have a pocket clip
Cause I really do like the looks of the knife ( regardless of what it says on it , though I wish it was more Steve Austin related) and it really seems like a knife I might try out.

It definitely has a pocket clip. In fact, being a Cold Steel, it will almost certainly come with two pocket clips. :)

As far as anybody knows, there very well could be a number of celebrities who are BF members. If they are, why in the world would they want to reveal who they were? Besides, even if they went by their real names, who would believe it? Anybody can use the screen name Stone Cold Steve Austin or Sylvester Stallone or Angelina Jolie or etc. :)
