STRIDER BT Destruction Test Video completed.

I clicked on the link and saw my photo (with my Logo watermark) from my website for the Strider knife.

I went no further- too many Strider orders to pack and ship.

I don't remember you asking me, nor that I did give permission to use my image without permission.

Please remove this image now.

Thank you,

Neil Ostroff

I removed your photo. However after you watch the video you may or may not come to regret this But it is your photo and I have complied with your wishes.
note: I did not know what TNC stood for I have never heard of your company until now. Your photo is all over the internet.

Nice Strider testing review! TNK should be grateful you used his pic... he got about 500.00 in free advertising IMO. TNK has a great website but, it never comes up in a knife search for me. Now I have TNK bookmarked & before I never knew it existed. Lighten up TNK.

we both learned something to day. The day is off to a good start.

I would love to hear how you arrived at this specific monetary amount. Actually, any monetary amount. . . .besides pulling it out of your ass.

Lighten up ? It's apparent that you feel that it's OK to take something that belongs to someone else. :jerkit:

noss4. . . . .

The chunk of 4X4 lumber that you were hacking through looked awful green. Was it pressure treated lumber ? If so, how wet was it (exterior to core) ?

Also, the link to your "Strider" thing is delinked.

It was pressure treated wood and it was wet all the way to the center.
I had just bought it from the home Depot that night. pressure treated wood is usually wet when you buy it.

Okay I forgot to make the link when I added the new photo thanks I will fix it now.

Sweeeet! That was my suggestion:D
I have been wanting to try this for some time, just throw it at some wood before concrete, so we can see how it penetrates. And find a secluded spot so there wont be any police interruptions.

(never thought of it but someone stumbling onto these tests by accident would probably be freaked out, with the costumes and all I mean;) )

I'm going to start with soft targets and move up from there. As always I will
push it to the limit.

That's explains several issues with your - for a lack of a better term - testing.

Maybe where you purchase from. If the treated wood is saturated, it generally means that it has been transported and or stored outside in the rain. Hey. . . .very common with the pressure treated lumber from Lowe's and Home Depot. ;)

Thats why I bought pressure teated wood. it is usually wet and it is a lot tougher to chop through then normal dried untreated pine.

ROTF

I've been in a few survival situations and none involved hacking through water soaked, "pressure treated" trees or 4X4's.

Maybe you need to inject some rationality into your "testing" criteria.

Well I have hacked into wet wood in the wilderness countless times
Maybe you need some rational thought. Wood in the lands of the wild get wet it's from the rain and 4x4s come from trees.

Just because you haven't done things doesn't mean others haven't your one of
4 billion plus people on the earth and they have lives of their own.

So the next time your in one of your survival situations don't hack into a wet tree to build a simple shelter.
or split a large wet log to help it burn better. Because in your world this is not for real. So don't it.

So then all the knives he's tested should hack through "normal" trees pretty well then, correct?

While the things he does may not always be rational, they do remain valid. I think it's already been established that noss4 isn't really here to do real world activities on camera, but to see how far these knives can go.

As I keep trying to explain, a test does not have to be "real world" to be very legitimate and very meaningful.

noss4 Keep on keeping on bro, Some people who say, you should of, why did you, why would you. They need to keep there holes shut. You put in you time and money for us knuts to see what these slabs of steel can do. Not to be flamed. People we are all on the same team here, get a grip, don't watch if you don't like. The world will still turn, ya know?

Hey noss4,

I'm not sure what the big deal is, simply because there's no way I'm gonna go through this thread, but to each his own. I personally like the stuff you're putting out. Simply because:

1) I currently can't afford to buy the knives you're breaking.
2) If I could, I may not want to break them, because I'd want them for actual use.
3) Even if I did want to do something like this, I probably wouldn't want to go through all the trouble, including sharing the video with everyone.

So I really appreciate all the clips, keep 'em coming. Here's my wish list. Please destroy any or all of the following:

Busse Something
Scrap Yard something
Swamp Rat Something
Fallkniven something (preferably the A1, Thor, Odin)
Ranger 7, 9
Chris Reeve fixed something
Extrema Ratio something
Dark Ops something
Fehrman Something
Cold Steel Trailmaster, Recon Scout, SRK, Recon Tanto

I know there's more I'd like to see destroyed, but I can't think of any more right now... Again noss4, keep 'em coming. Someof us appreciate this stuff:).
