They were running Strider knives separately, but have now chosen not to do that.Oh I understand all of that.
My point was that there's a possibility that they would've sold more product if that dark cloud wasn't above them.
Personally, if I had a company that was highly successful compared to just being successful, there's no way in hell I would close the doors.
The mid tech line could sell at high rates while being built and managed extra employees, while the two owners did their own builds.
Just a thought, but the not selling the company may be due to design rights. Anyone buying probably would want exclusive rights to Mick's designs, which would leave him out.
It is very hard to say what would be without the stolen valor saga. It may have given them enough sales during the early years to keep them going, may not have mattered, or may have been more about his ego then marketing. I assume it gave them some press prior to discovery, and certainly loads of press after. People may not like them, but they know who they are.
