Aloha Matt,

I dunno, but I think the SF has done enough for Boker to warrant a serial numbered offering!!!;)

As for those with Production Proto's...no one really has them. They have Production samples though. AFAIK, Scott is the only one with a production proto in the form of the SFB.;)

God bless and thanks Matt:thumbup:

I saw the ads and then got to handle the Subcom folder at the local knife store, River's Edge iin Columbus, Ohio. Brian told me he's sold a lot of them. Very impressed, I bought one for my son and one for myself. I have a box full of small knives I carry at the office: slipjoints, Spyderco Cricket and Dragonfly, and others. The Boker moved to the top of the list. Outstanding ergos and very useful for its size. Very well made, and a great value. Well done!

Aloha KeithAM,

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Man, where have you been? I have not seen that avatar for a LONG time! Your son still drawing?

Anyway, hey thanks for your support. I'm glad that you consider the SF a great value, because it really is you know? It's very well made as you stated, and comes in very handy. It really does perform outside of it's size range...

Mahalo much and BTW, which version of the SF did you and your son get?

God bless and take care:thumbup:

Daywalker,
Mahalo for designing such a great little knife. I'm kinda late getting one, but I finally picked up a plain edge 589 the other day. I can't stop fondling it, as it fits soooo perfectly in the hand for such a teeny folder. I did a little pictorial review of it over on sigforum.com under the essential edge section. Check it out if you can.

I can't wait to do some cutting with it!

Mahalo agony,

Again I say..."Heathcliff"???:D

Mahalo for getting one...late is fine buddy!!! More so though, i am glad you like it. It does become an addicting lil' one after awhile.;) Will check out your mini-review.

Thanks a lot and GREAT seeing you here!
God bless:thumbup:

:D
You need to remind me about the Heathcliff/Wuthering Heights connection...my mind is going stale the older I get, and some things I can't remember.

Aloha bro,

Hey killer review and great pics! I wanted to sign up there, but I only got yahoo for email.:grumpy: Mahalo MUCH though brother!

Oh man, no matter how old one gets, they cannot forget "Wuthering Heights"!

God bless and keep us posted on the SF!

Hi Chad,
I did another review with some new pics of the Rescom I picked up a couple weeks ago, again over at sigforum.com in the Essential Edge section. Check it out and see whatcha think, bro!
:)

Merry Christmas to you and thanks again for the great designs.

I'm a new guy, sucked into the knife world after buying my brother a BM mini pika. I bought a cheap S&W folder last week but finding it too long when clipped to my belt. I'm looking for a smaller folder and came across this thread and WOW I'm sold.

I'm also looking for a fixed blade to carry inverted on my camelbak when I go mountian bike riding. My main concern with this knife is how easy it comes out. Will the sheath of the fixed subcom hold up to bumpiness riding over rocks and stuff while inverted. I don't want it to fall out while riding and stab into my leg if it slips out of the sheath. I may just use a velcro strap over the finger grip for the added insurance.

What are the advantages of the different styles? It seems to come in plain edge and combo, and else curved blade and straight. I know nothing of different grades of steel... Is one version clearly better than the rest? For a every day knife that will see lots of cardboard and just a little of everything else, which is the right choice? Am I asking the wrong question?

Ahh, I see, the straight edge is the wharcom, the curved edge is the subcom. I almost ordered it last night, but one place was selling it as the boker plus subcom and the other the boker magnum subcom. Is there a difference?
EDIT:
Well, never mind I've answered all my own questions... I post them here in case others wonder the same thing:
Boker plus is a new version the may or may not be a higher quality than the magnum.

Just got my biscuit back from Potterma. Thanks so much. The knife is a knock-out!! Now all I need is something to make her easier to grab. I have never seen a knife this small wield such power.
I'm thinking a monkey fist might look good on it. Anyone out there have any lanyard making going on right now?

Another great job by the Master Molester. Potterma does great work and I can say that I am the proud owner of two of his pieces thus far.

I'm always making lanyards, and designed one specifically for the SF that can be used for small knives. You can email me or PM over at Spyderco for details.

How I would like to write a review of Wharcom... but I found no knife dealer in CZ in willing to import me one... :(. It feels bad. I will probably have to fly to USA to get me a few knives I like but have no way to buy here.

You should also be able to get them from the German Boker site here, but you'll need to know/guess a little German.
