  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Super Blue Stretch

Bossk said:
Thanks FW JSB. I'll keep an eye on it but I'm not gonna worry about it. Its my first SB so I'm new to it. Thing is crazy sharp. I want to keep it nice but I also want to cut everything in my house with it. Glad I caught one from GPK before they were gone.

Ya, it's a good steel and capable of taking a really good edge.

Mine came in today. Really very impressed with the feel as I have never held a stretch before. It's a great size, without being too big. Mine came with good even laminate lines in the blade. I am very happy to finally have it after such a long wait!

I am freakin' loving the Superblue steel - I am absolutely gutted that I didn't pick up a Caly 3.5. That has to be a grail knife for me for sure.

Are there any other Superblues in the pipeline (preferably G10 variants)?? I know about the Endura and Delicas and of course the Caly's that I missed out on...

Definitely not my last knife with this steel.

Ben

Shipping confirmation received, my stretch will be here Friday. I have been loving my SB delica4 and waiting for the stretch for a while. :) Now I just need a SB Dragonfly!:D

^^^You don't look the punk part though. ^^^ I was there 80-85. Good times.

Congrats on the Stretch. For all the Spyderco's I've owned I never gravitated toward the Stretch until I searched one out for another member last week and ordered one for myself because it was a bargain. Now I see what all the fuss is about. One of the most comfortable Spydies out there.

I went to my first punk show in 79.....Punks back then did not look like punks now. That pic was taken in 1981....I am wearing steel toe shoes and if you look at my shirt and the Suicidal Tendencies album, you will see the connection. Even though ST were dicks. That is a pic of the Los Angeles Death Squad.

Funny times. Had a blast but lucky to have made it out of that decade alive. Way to many vices back then. Now it's just sipping good whisky and collecting knives.

Congrats, Mr Slosz! I just had been eyeing this one for awhile and didn't want to miss out.

Munchy, sorry to hear that, that stinks. Wanted to also say hello to a fellow Wisconsinite. :)

I don't know how I missed this, sorry! Hello fellow cheesehead! Go Badgers!

After email notifications about this thread daily, I had to buy one. The Stretch and the Caly 3.5 SB are both in the mail and my first sprint run knives! I'm really excited about these!

Side note: are you reading Discipline and Punish? Looks like it from the text...

Good eye! I've been talking more and more with a French girl and decided that brushing back up on my French philosophers might be a good idea.

I have it in order on KC but no news. It sound strange....do you know if the will write something if you are out of the winners or my order will stand forever there at dead end? Sigh

May never come. If I were you (and I have been in this boat a few times with them) I would try and source the knife elsewhere, and then cancel that pre-order. I don't even pre-order with them anymore.

Knifeworks still shows in stock. Cancel the preorder with KC and go with the sure thing.

Couldn't take it anymore and had to order one! Received the shipping notification yesterday and it will be here Thursday!!:triumphant:

At just over a $100 the Stretch Super Blue is a no-brainer to me considering my unused Stretch Blue Nishijin Damascus at well over twice as much. I'd love to see the original ZDP/CF make a comeback.
