Super polished edges

Great job Chris! Vg10 has been a surprising steel for me, in my limited use it gets sharp easily and holds a great edge. Haven't messed with 110v yet as far as personal use goes.

Thanks! I just pulled out my old & trusty GB1 in M4. It shaves better than the Manix. I'm going to experiment further, but let's not derail the thread, it's about polished edge!

An interesting knife to sharpen. The pseudo-chisel grind makes using a fixed angle jig more difficult. Not the sliciest thing in the world, but it still performs well above average.

Did you get that email too?! Claiming using 3rd party hosting or some crap..
Yep. For only the low, low price of $399.99 a year they'd continue to host my images. Lol.

I could actually host my own on a limited scale, but I'm too lazy to rearrange my website.

I did my Hinderer spa treatment on my new Jurassic this morning. Took the edge down to 17 degrees per side (tried 20 first, didn't care for it, needed just a bit more sliceyness).

Took a great edge, in the end!

Of course I bought this one to replace my small blue XM18 slicer. And it, ahem...has replaced my small blue XM18 slicer...

Yeah I've done some research, you know the whole conversation chart with the different micron levels and whatnot and it seems that a Shapton 6k is equivalent to the EP 2300..so if you say your 2k is giving you near Mirror levels then I can rest easy tonight knowing all my knives will look beautiful come tomorrow evening (I hope).

I strop on a knifeplus strop block "green" I wish I could find info on what micron they load this strop with but it gives me a very nice polish.
Micron on the green strop is 0.5-1. Hope this helps and thanks for your interest in our product.
