Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

Point isn’t the same, you said they left for greener pastures which would imply they left willingly and that’s not true… they had no choice in leaving once their forum was closed.

Their forum perhaps… but I’ve seen posts here wondering why they don’t comment and address the issue… so I assume they have access in some form. Perhaps I am mistaken in that.

You are not. Neither Guy nor Ellie themselves are banned. Their forum got closed, and they are no longer authorized to shill their ponzi scheme or their mediocre kit knives here. So, naturally, with their ability to attempt to hoover up new mone...sorry, "solicit interest in new preorders" curtailed, they've chosen to go elsewhere on the Internet where they completely control the narrative, and the comments sections so they can delete any critical comments and ban the people asking where their knives are at. In fact, Ellie DID try to come defend their practices in here at one time, but it was absolutely a cut/paste job from countless previous posts where she talked about how "things were turning around" and "if only people would have some patience" and she was laughed out of the room on the spot.

Would it do any good? In this day and age apologizing or attempting to make amends just acts as blood in the water for more folks to pile on.
What would it take for you to say all is forgiven and you become a customer of SK!? I'm sure it's so ridiculous that why would they even bother?
Making 0% progress on their old orders in the last few months isn't exactly fostering good will.

Maybe it's a typo, Guy's got pretty chubby fingers. A friend of mine wanted to play the guitar but his chubby fingers got in the way, I doubt he could make a knife too.

For me real peak Survive was when they started taking pre-orders for reject knives.

Hey we can't get production to meet demand but what if we make a bunch of sub par stuff would you suckers customers send money in?

LOL I vaguely recall laughing after seeing Ellie respond to a question from someone asking where their "Dirty Betty" seconds knife was at, since it had been several months since they'd ordered it, and she was like "We're just waiting for them to come back from heat treat! :D"

LMAOOOO

And, is there a point you’re trying to make?
Yes. They still come back and read everything going on in this thread and haven't technically left as suggested. That's all.

You should be glad to be here, I should have banned you with your very first post in this thread… remember.

“Been quiet around here. Probably time for Survive Fan-Boy post to get the blood boiling.”

I’m not likely to make that mistake again
Point taken. Rather than risk being banned I'll rescind my comment about this being a silo and stop posting in the thread.

What I'm asking is what would it take? Where all was forgiven and everyone was happy and SK! is in everyone's good graces again.
I think the short answer is that there isn't anything they could do. There would always be a 4, 5, 6, 8 year thread going by most of the same people that just wanna be pissed and rant about something on the internet. As I said... recreational outrage.

They created this demon and like you said, it will never go away, there’s no credibility left.

Then why should they even bother? Why even try to fill one single old order? If the damage is done and there is no redemption possible… just plow ahead and tell everyone sorry about your luck.

How about, “because it’s the right thing to do.”

FFS, there’s reasons to do things besides doing it for profit or recognition.

Well when a grifter does that the supply of new suckers dries up fast.

That’s assuming that everyone that is a customer of SK! Is aware of this, let alone aware of Bladeforums, and this thread. You’d be surprised how many knife enthusiasts I’ve met in my day that have never even heard of Bladeforums. SK! Could do just fine ignoring this completely and pressing forward. Their demand always exceeds their supply.

They should bother, because it would be the honorable and dignified action to take on behalf of the individuals who gave their money to survive, but received nothing in return.

Indeed, if they did this, some would not be satisfied, but it's not for a pat on the back that such follow through needs to be undertaken, rather it's fulfill their word to the individuals who literally, kept their business running, but where exploited in the end.

Plus, it would show a commitment to actual change in their ways and foster some good faith for a few people. Not all, especially those who don't like thieves.

This thread is not for them.

It is a heads up for the people that might think they're getting a knife in a few months when the reality could be years and let's them decide if they want to take that chance. Why do you have a problem with that?

So what? Why bother if most of the same people are still gonna hate you and have it out for you? Again, their demand always exceeds their supply… honor isn’t gonna make them any extra money.

I don’t have a clear answer here, but taking new orders and getting further behind certainly isn’t the answer. Worry about rebuilding your reputation after you’ve settled and cleared up the issue (a mountain of knives from years ago that people are waiting on)
