With how prolific magnacut is, it seems unreasonable that if this were a real problem, survive would be the ony manufacturer impacted. Magnacut is everywhere, being used by the biggest and smallest outfits.

Don't forget that Survive! originally had issues with Delta 3V and stopped using that protocol. Now that they're having problems with Magnacut, they're going back to Delta 3V again. :rolleyes:
 
I didn't bother watching the entire video but did notice the criticism directed towards Busse at the 5:11 mark.

Im am curious how members here can talk negatively about other members and call them “shills” and “apologists” when all they did was say they ordered and received. When someone else asks them for proof, they show a picture of their knife. They even then recommend people dont buy from Survive!, yet fellow members call them names.

Every knife I ever ordered from survive showed up eventually and every refund I demanded also showed up. I also warn people and recommend not ordering. Does that make me a shill too?

I think members need to be more respectful to each other.

Talk all the shit you want about S!K, they earned it, but upstanding members sharing their own experience DOES NOT warrant bashing.

There are some good threads on these forums on Magnacut warping and solutions including:
Heat treat pre- grind and maintaining factory surface
Vertical clamp/ quench
Peening with specialised peening hammers

Seems like S!K could refine or align processes to improve warping.

Inclusions do not pop up in searches although the DBK kids did break a BRK and at the end of the video an inclusion was thought to be the cause (in addition to the abuse of the knife).

Typical accusations, blame and BS though from Guy. I wonder whether Niagara will respond in any way or just dignify it with a response.

I asked him on FB whether he was going to push other sterels over magnacut (read further delays) and he made a special video just to rebutt me (what a lucky boy I am). If only picking lotto numbers was a easy a guessing his next lies.
 
Funny how Guy continues to ignore the customer complaints about late orders / not responding to emails / not processing refunds.
 
I encourage everyone who has not received a knife or has not received a requested refund to complain to the PA AG and also the BBB. They likely will do nothing about it besides notifying him but at least it reminds him of how much he sucks as a person for being a liar. Also flag his youtube videos as scams so hopefully they do something about it so other potential suckers like me dont see his videos.

That's hilarious. It's no secret that Busse doesn't completely finish the blades that they coat. There's going to be all kinds of imperfections on stripped blades. That's why they offer a higher level of finish like stonewashed or Competition finish.

I love how Guy is going to be the savior of the industry and hold everyone to a higher standard... if he could just produce some knives.
 
Yeah, it really is such a pathetic and ignorant bashing of Busse. Trying to (disingenuously or cluelessly) impugn the product quality of a highly respected knife maker is a massive failure in “punching up” (wayyy up).

Well said I agree it's so ridiculous seeing some of the "flamers" just seething to roast anyone who claims they recieved a knife or has a positive thought that may reflect in any way on SK!

Then some of them pretend that they could not have made a decent knife when some of the people use to believe they made a great knife and liked SK! It has become fashionable to pretend they suck at everything from knifemaking to life and anyone who says different is either a liar a shill or possibly Guy's sex slave.

Personally I have had nice knives made by SK! the 4.7 had one of the best handles of any knives I've owned and at a great price point. I still would not recommend ordering anything from them you wanted to use this decade. I haven't bought anything since 2018 or so for those reason and CPK made knives using the Delta 3v and They actually got the knives in my hands in a reasonable time. Their business practices are probably the worst I have ever seen and I'm blown away they are still around.

Sorry for the long winding rant I just felt the same as RIZ about the direction of this thread and how it is a slippery slope.

I wonder how many folks got scammed by survive based on your admitted fanboyism, in this very forum. In fact, survive no longer has their forum here so folks like you don't continue to heep praise in a designated safe space.

Respect is earned. If people want respect, quit saying "i got mines". That ignores the issues laid out here entirely.

Saying you received a knife is one thing, but it is often followed by some sort of "don't buy if you can't wait" disclaimer or "awesome product" vouche.

Comments like that sell knives and that is not the direction of this thread.

The only sound advice on survive is to not deal with them in any way, full stop. Anything else is to support thieves.
 
I never forced anyone to click the submit button on an order. I have only ever stated the facts of my experience.

One day he'll be standing in the ashes of Survive! Knives, crying about how everyone screwed him over.
 
I completely understand their position and also feel for those people. What has happened to them is wrong and they SHOULD follow up with the AG in PA, they should do whatever they need to be made whole.

To imply that myself or a few other members are somehow part of survive’s scam is just complete crap and I am going to defend myself. Ive done nothing wrong.

I keep looking for the answer but do we have any reports of any delivered pre-order knives? I seem to just see shills who have bought seconds or other in stock knives.
 
What is different about SK! than say CPK or Bark River?

Are the others doing in house heat treat?

How can one person have so many "problems"?

It has to begin to reflect upon SK!

Leatherman just released a magna cut blade in mass quantities. You can get a Houge Deca on Amazon all day long
