Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

Some consequences of felony convictions are permanent. It appears this is one of them. Even if it isn't, they are too far down the rabbit hole of bad business decisions, complaints to the BBB, and maybe(?) the FTC for any bank to touch them, even if they had turned over "ownership" to Ellie, and she just employed Guy (which may be something they should have considered).

What are the known facts regarding Guy and legal convictions?

Hey, now, in three years they've managed to fulfill an entire 15% of those six year old orders! If they continue to move at that pace you could order one today and get it by 2041!
it's brilliant. You know who doesn't care about their Survive! Knife back order?
A dead person.
They don't have to actively murder you, either- not that the illegality of that would stop them.
You'll die of natural causes.

Ellie herself has admitted to Guy's felonious past in past threads, and elsewhere. I leave it to you to find it.

She didn't use words like "broke the friggin' law and got busted", more along the lines of softening, calming language* like "Guy just made a mistake" and "He's paid for his mistakes".

*Usually used to make something seem inconsequential or irrelevant.

I think the phrase you're looking for is "down played", as in...
"Ellie really down-played Guy's felonious past."

Well she forgot the key one; "Guy is going to turn his life around this weekend".

Which he did but it turns out it was a 360.

Is this the incident?

Their response after me filing the initial case...

"We do our best to keep customers updated through our newsletter and social media posts. We are also available through phone, 208.783.0899, and are working to get caught up on emails (most of our time is spent in the workshop fulfilling orders). The GSO-6 orders, including this one, are getting built and finished now. Your order will be shipping out in the next week.

Have you heard anything else about your refund?
When did you place the order for your knife?

Wow, a really interesting crowd of conspiracy theorists here. Before I stop feeding the trolls, I at least want to set some things straight.

The only contact I had to SURVIVE!, apart from ordering my knives, was when I asked them by email to change the steel on an order from 20CV to 3V, which was no problem.

Inner circle, special customer, Guys carpet, select few, work buddies, give me a break, premium jokes indeed…

If this is the average truth content of this sub-forum, it seems to me a bit of a waste of time, my sense of humor seems to differ as well.

I don`t even live in America.

Rob_Angerer Rob_Angerer : I must have gotten my first GSO in about 2013 (4.1), makes 8 years for 10. Of course I had more than one order running at a time. I ordered my GSO 5.1 in 2016. So yes, I too have and had to wait a long time for some of them. Would I do that again? Anytime.

Yep we are the issue. We are out to get survive because of... Um... Hmmm oh yes we are nasty internet meanies who want to destroy upstanding knife businesses.

It has nothing to do with sketchy business practices, broken promises, extreme delays or anything like that. Just us internet trolls under our bridge. We almost got away with it too...

Could you define “long time”? As Einstein said, time is relative. Some folks are waiting 5 years.

Also glad you don’t mind bad customer service, but most people don’t have that kind of time.

Edit: just to add, if I was Guy, I’d be working around the clock to set this right. This is embarrassing.

How did it go on for so long? People enabling the bad behavior, not wanting to see the truth and defending the indefensible.

This was probably listed as "In Stock" when purchased in March. "In Stock" to Survive! probably meant a 90 delivery. Yet it's almost 6 months later and it still hasn't been delivered.
August 8th: Your order will be shipping out in the next week.
August 28th: Still waiting. 1 week to finish and 2 weeks to ship- Where's the tracking #?
