Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

In the left hand side of the video. Why are they cutting circles if what they're making are knife blanks? That would be a lot of wasted material for no good reason. It might be kydex for sheaths, but even then, seems suspicious. In fact that looks a lot like a blank for a pressed piece of cookware or some other implement. They could be throwing in a free Dutch oven for everybody who's waited but I doubt it. In CNC machining the cutter moves, not the metal. There's no reason not to use every bit of the material possible.
I'm firmly in the "rented set" camp now.
They are making "Round Tuits"

Guys, R RAZZORBACK has been a member here for 9 years and he's made 7 posts.
5 of which are in this thread.
He doesn't say much, but when he does it's usually in defense of a knife company renown for making poor business decisions.

I don´t think you have to hang around here on a regular basis to have an opinion. There are other interesting things in the world. And just to repeat, no complaints about SURVIVE from my side, they always delivered and are among my favorite knife brands…. If your opinion and experience is different, fine with me.

Thanks Guy.

Their response after me filing the initial case...

"We do our best to keep customers updated through our newsletter and social media posts. We are also available through phone, 208.783.0899, and are working to get caught up on emails (most of our time is spent in the workshop fulfilling orders). The GSO-6 orders, including this one, are getting built and finished now. Your order will be shipping out in the next week.

Got a friend in the same boat. She ordered a GSO6 for her husband back in January or February. She said she's on her fourth "it will be delivered in a week". She's contacted her credit card company and they'll deal with Survive! on her behalf as soon as she email them back to go ahead. They're clearing dragging their feet on delivery.

It's messed up that there is a strong balance of probabilities Survive! took people's money, made knives with it and the sold them as factory seconds in the past to boost their cash intake.

They appear to have refined this. Now they're pushing pre-orders, taking money from the preorders, and using it to make knives for BSS and BladeHQ and whoever the hell else.

Yup. That's why I find the, "Aw, shucks, give them a chance," lines so utterly tired. They've been given many, many chances and have continued the exact same pattern every time.

I think the day you fill a current order before delivering on an order that is 2 or more years in the rears is the day you stop getting the "give 'um a chance" defense.

I enjoy seeing the developments- it's like an algebra problem for which no solution exists.
Like a mobius strip in it's simple, yet confounding nature.
It's so heinous, yet... beautiful.
