Survive! Knives Heads Up

That's unfortunate people would exploit a warranty at all much less to the extent of a quite a few incidents.

However, I'm kinda surprised it withstood a .308, I wonder what the range was. :D

No kidding! I get that it's 1/4 inch 1095, but that's impressive! I'm surprised it didn't just shatter at that spot.

Back in Survive! Baby! Yaay! snagged both the Necker II and the GSO 2.7. I'm gonna give the 2.7 to the Ex and ask her to stab me in the neck with it in case I ever make moves on her in a moment of desperation after a night of drunkenness finagling a booty call. I know the knife is sharp and that will prohibit me from doing stupid sh*t like that :D

Woohoo! Welcome home, big boy! Don't be a biotch and sell them off in a month ;)

can't promise I won't be a Biotch but the 2.7 is a present so I won't be selling that and also very unlikely on the Necker II which will be my "claw" ;)

Haha yep!

It might have made it if it wasn't hit next to the fastener hole. Solid proof that they can take major abuse.
Maybe Guy can test how 3v or 20cv takes a bullet.

Lack of warranty concerns are valid. But for me, the sheer amount of junk with worthless warranties I've bought over the years exceeds the price of this CRUVUB many times over.

The main reason we aren't covering them under warranty is because they aren't something that we have a ton of and they are 40% off. We want to avoid a situation where someone orders an Ugly Betty then purposely breaks it in order to get a brand new perfect knife. If an Ugly Betty ever fails, we would encourage you to contact us. We will handle any of those situations on a case by case basis.

If you break your knife in the field what is a warranty really going to do for you? Nothing. You'll have to wait until you get home to exercise it. My point is that if you have a good knife it's probably NOT going to fail unless you're doing something that it's not designed to do and in the case of S!K you REALLY have to be doing something that would damage the knife. I doubt that an Ugly Betty is going to fail, maybe you might chip the blade but it's not going to break. That's why I bring a diamond stone and a backup in case I do something stupid like chipping an edge on a rock when I am batoning, which has happened to me with my 7/7. Knowing Guy I am sure he would try to fix the knife for you. 9.5 times out of 10 I bet it could fixed with a reprofiled blade.

I'm wondering if I could damage it just enough so Guy would have to re grind it as a modified wharnie...🤔

Yall see the 5.1 and 4.7 up on the exchange? Little pricey... but they look mint and have some extra goodies.

That pic is very old and is actually part of ESEE's wall of shame. If you look closely, the idiot used several different calibers before he destroyed the knife. ESEE did replace it but put him up on the wall of shame. My understanding is that now if you abuse the warranty continuously, they will put you in the database and refuse to honor it if you do something intentionally like shooting it, or laying it on the railroad tracks, etc.

Looks like there are still some GSO-5.1 Factory 2nds on the site from today's random drop. I was able to put a 20CV version in my cart for purchase.

Edit: same case with GSO-5.1 Custom Spear Point - Factory 2nds

Must've gotten last of the jade as it won't let me select em.

Ehh 2.7 doesn't really interest me enough to buy it... thought about it and don't see where itd be beneficial in my carry. I have a 4.1 and folders on me all the time.

I'm eagerly awaiting a 4.1 and 4.5 thou.
