Well now that I have secured the knife, I will let you know that there WAS a new spec 5.1 on the exchange at a pretty good price. Needs a good sharpening which will not be a problem at all. I told myself that there is no way that I need another 5.1, but you know how it goes.

Seconded. :eek: We know that at least 1000 of these will be produced, but getting one this early is like snagging a limited edition prototype!

I want my 4.1 too!!! Er... and my 4.7 ;) There is a post on instagram about handle-fitment issues that needed solving... it's another excuse, but the 4.7s seem to have been a bane with screw-ups. Really hoping that S!K can get passed them and put the other models out much faster. One 4.1 in the wild is an anomaly, but December will be the 12-month mark for when cutting started on them last year. Come on, S!K !
 
I don't think we deserve special treatment, but some of us follow S! VERY closely and to see someone else get this one early surprises me. I mean I get how ordering works and that things ship out when their ordered. The same thing happened with the 4.7's. One popped up on ebay months before we got ours here and some guy from the FB got one months before they really started rolling out.

Those handle fitment issues really must be the bane of the S! team. Beyond frustrating for us and I'm sure a nightmare in the shop.

Sure is crappy that it had to go up for sale. That only stirs up more conflict for everyone about the orders they have not received. He could have at least given a video review before selling. I hope the new owner will do so ASAP. 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
 
That new spec 4.1went to a BF regular , congrats !!!! I cannot wait to get mine ! I will let him post the good news .. can't wait to see pics and a review
