I'm hoping it's the last camp knife I will need to buy for many years.
At least, that's how I justified the price to myself
I realized that my fixed blade camp knives collection was in the same state my folding knives collection used to be in
that is to say, I had 2 or 3 large fixed blades, but they were all budget choppers like the Kershaw Camp 10, the Kershaw Outcast, and the CRKT Chance-in-Hell.
When I first got into knives, I just bought whatever caught my eye since I didn't know about steels or what I really wanted in a knife.
Since learning more, I've upgraded my folding / EDC knives collection quite a bit, so I figured I needed a really nice, upgraded camp knife too.
I will say, my only minor gripe is the micarta feels a little slick, so I'll for sure want to tie a lanyard on, and probably wear gloves when possible. Can anyone speak to the difference in handle materials? How's the texture on the G-10? More grippy?
Are there other handle options I should consider?
