Survive! Sheaths and standard attachments that fit them

the maxped pouch fits the 4.1 well

My first thought on the pouch was Altoid's Tin so small items would be contained a bit better.

When I got the pouch, the attachment points go the wrong way though so I need to rig up some way to get it attached to the 5.1 sheath. The size is spot on though.

Esse pouch and molle backon my 5.1. This pouch also looks like it would fit the wife's 4.1 but I don't believe the backing will fit.

Does that have the long molle straps sewn on the back also for quick attachment? I've only had the molle backing on a Junglas.

I didn't know they were a two piece design! I think you stumbled across something really cool there TT.
Here's a sample photo for anyone else that is curious.

I'm hoping it's good fishing for you! It looks like it's starting to cool down a bit also.

Yea my buddies been up to date with weather its about 5° cooler there. I'm sure I'll be able to catch a few shady holes. My buddy is more into catfish then bass. So I guess we'll see who's got a nicer catch.

Guys! Dont forget the Specops Brand Combat Master. They are really nice

Also, Chiral or anyone, what are your thoughts on Condor? I've been happy with my compact assault pack for my uses, but I know it's not up there with other big brands.

I'm not sure why Condor isn't more popular... It's pretty inexpensive, which is why I check them first for "tactical" gear. My only Maxpedition is the Sitka which is awesome in my daily uses but not my preferred camping sack. From Condor, I have the dump-pouch (similar to Maxped "roly-poly"?) and the H2O-pouch as well as this one. The dump-pouch gets used extensively, I never realized how handy those are until i moved out into the country. Sweat- or oil-rag, gloves, tools, screws/nails, bug-spray ... that thing is a "must" for me now. The H2O-pouch fits a standard nalgene as well as a nested steel cup and penny-stove, a cup/pot stand, tea-bags/sugar, iodine/sterilizers, matches/lighter, a bottle of fuel.... I'll post pics of that tomorrow. It's great

Some pics of this new one, empty:

I took some of it full as well, but haven't had a chance to upload, will get to it tonight.
The MOLLE-snap on the back works well with just Kiah's clip but could be strung to the sheath for grater security - i like it just this way. The front pouch can fit a tin just like the ESEE pouch, with a little room on bottom or top, I'll show that in the next set of pics. The main pouch can hold a bunch of stuff depending on your needs and provides easy access - small survival kit, bug-repellant, fire-starter, cell-phone/GPS, pocket-camera, map+compass, deer-scent, extra ammo, flashlight, etc. Obviously you don't have to mount it on your sheath, and I'd advise against it if hauling heavy or delicate items - it'll wag when moving fast and I have a tendency to hit it against things :p
Still, I like it a lot, good buy for only ~$11.

That's a great little pouch! I'm not sure why they're not that popular either. They make a quality pack.

I got most of my max gear on sale or second hand. I hadn't paid full retail. I really just got the pack to test it as a truck bag and its turned into so much more for me since I had a SOG wally special and it started coming apart. Condor was actually one I was looking at when I found this pack on the exchange for a steal of a price.
