Survivors: other knives you like

I just picked up the g10 lionsteel m4. Really love the knife! I also like that the g10 version comes with a leather sheath, I can't stand nylon stuff. Between fit and finish and materials, it's a great value.

unbelievable value !! How great is the blade shape!? I'm very impressed by all aspects of the knife including the leather sheath

Please post pics when you do. I would like to see it in hand and maybe compared to a 3.5 or something else that I know

It took me a while, but I finally pulled the trigger on a small northern hunter. The handle was slimmer than I expected but it's very comfortable, and a great small edc. The 3.5 feels beefy in comparison, but where I didn't like the 3.5 handle before I added liners, the Hunter feels great.
I usually wear XL gloves/size 10/11. Now I've got to pick up the large too...

The 4.7 has been the best knife of the last year and more for me but I love the French out of some Carothers Knives. I have a Field Knife and EDC and I just scored a Light Chopper today, lucky number 13!

Funny enough, once the LC shows up, I have a Busse BG BB13 that I can't wait to smash into something. It's too dang cold to enjoy the outdoors at the moment but I can't wait to put the Light Chopper up against the BB13, 1311, 1111, Ugly Dog chopper, CGFBM, Junglas, BK9, BK21, and anything else I can find to tear into some wood.

Good call! The 4.7 definitely won "best of 2016" for me. Easily. Way to go on the LC! Is there anyone who doesn't LOVE CPK? Those are some nice knives for sure.

I've been sticking with basically the same blades (Busse/Kin, Survive and Carothers) but have recently landed a few of the new Dark Timbers (1911, Honey Badger) and they now make the cut as well. Amazing, well consturcted blades and very light. Also have one Miller Bros Blade and may look to acquire another one.

On a side note I did get a Lionsteel M4 (M390) and find it to be one of the best values out there.

I liked the Dark Timber knives until I was declined admittance to their highly exclusive Dark Timber Brotherhood on Facebook.

Animportant, thats just lame... i cant believe they did that. I was close to buying a Dark Timber and then he aligned himself with Bark River and that kind of ruined it for me. If I was going to buy one, it would be a full customthat peter forged himself.

Yea, I really just don't get it. First time I ever felt like the knife community pushed me away. What are your concerns with Bark River?

I just really hope Guy can deliver these SK's! (and soon!)

Peter Kohler only did one knife with Bark River and that was the Grizzly. The 1911, Honey Badger and Kodiak are his Mid-Tech line and those knives have nothing to do with Bark River.

I wanted a Honey Badger but guess I will go for a GSO 6 or 7/7 to fill that empty space in my life.

Wow, to think there's people who got their feelings hurt over our fun little numbers here. Sorry to hear this, animportant. I wonder what makes the group so exclusive.

Nice blade the M4
Looks nice. Post up comparisons or in-hand pics if you ever get a chance.

That's a good distinction to know. DT true customs always look amazing. The production stuff suits my tastes even more.

There's a few things I don't care for with Bark River. None of their knives ever looked that appealing to me.
