Survivors: other knives you like

I can see how there's a lot less drag with that satin finish. I used to have an issue with the ESEE texture and that's nothing compared to that crinkle coating.

Exactly! The blade will also look like new again after you clean it up. It is idea for food processing too.

OBX: as much as I love you and adore your knife collection, you are a very bad influence on my wallet and I may seriously have to consider putting you on my ignore list :D

I have been fighting off dropping $250+ on an LTWK Genesis and then you went ahead and this this to me on this Sunday? :p

That is some sweet steel brother. I was drooling over the top pic for a long time before I realized there was more, ha!

LOL! Sorry!! The Genesis is pretty nice but I like the GNS better. It's less expensive, like around $160 to $175.

OBX: what other aspects of your GNS model do you prefer over the Genesis model? (apart from the stated co$t factor differential).

I don't think you can go wrong with either and the Genesis is supposed to be a great knife. However, I prefer the handle on the GNS, 01 to A2 and I believe the GNS has a shorter blade height, which again I prefer.

You have just convinced me to go for the GNS, if I should be craving for an"interim" bushcraft knife with a shorter and thinner blade. Thank you OBX.

Dang OBX,, nice collection!!
If you ever get tired of that ugly old SFNO,, just let me know :D

If you like the GNS, don't go looking at the knives that Adventure Sworn makes!!
I act like Homer Simpson around doughnuts when I lurk on their website.

Dang you, S78! So many quality choices from A.S., LTWK, BHK, Fiddleback Forge... which just made it very simple for me: None of the above :D

... I'll just stick with GSO and NTM but will be looking up the Exchanges from time to time... Speaking of NTM, I don't think that he will have any
of his Field Knives up for sale next Friday :( (there will be some Light Choppers plus his potato Knives)

A good used Puukko (second knife below) for about $50 or a smaller Mora like the Morakniv Craftline Basic 511. The F1 is there for scale.

Nice collection guys! Mine has gotten a little smaller lately so I will wait to post again until more come in, but its truly fun seeing what other survivors are into.

Here is a picture of all my "other knives" other than a jungles

I love that Yuma. Who made the one on the left?

CS, just for perspective, here's the GNS and Genesis next to a 5.1. You can get a hold of either for about the same price on the exchange usually. Mine are probably going to end up there at some point. Good knives, I just keep passing over them for others. The ironwood looks too pretty and the I don't care for polished micarta or G10.
