Swamp Rat INFIDU

Lol. It most certainly does deserve a glamour shot. Mine is black G10 with satin finish, before they came out with the BIG finish. I'm in another state for the holidays, so it might be a bit for a photo op :)

Is yours with the convex grind? I believe the initial INFI models came with a convex grind.

Certainly a very nice bummin' around knife. It is not heavy, has enough length to get some serious work done, and is small enough for some finer camp craft work. Certainly one of my favorite, at least for now. I am thinking of picking another one up.

you and me both. When the "every two weeks" winds down, or I come to the conclusion there is nothing more of interest to me, another RMD is on my list. Even though I ordered a Jackmandu in the two-weeks sale.

Just bought my first Rat off the exchange- have had my eye on a infidu for months now. Unbelievably lively and agile in the hand. I find it just beautiful to look at- BIG finish and black micarta handles. I don't know if I can bring myself to use it though...

I felt the same too with my knife Terry but I eventually decided to use mine. You will love it even more when you start using it.

I want a back up :). I like idea of duplicates and one can be a dedicated user and abuser, the other, one to admire and keep pristine! Off to buy some lottery tickets to finance this :p

Yes mine is convexed. I snapped a down and dirty pic of it, and you can see the convex grind in the lighting. The sheath is a basketweave hybrid by David Brown.

There's a saying I learned from so many years in CandlePowerForums, a flashlight forum for flashlight nuts. "Two is one, and one is none". Hahaha!

I love the look of the convex grind. If I can pony up some extra funds I will stalk the exchange for it. Nice one bro!

Ha! I've heard that at Goruck events regarding portable/personal water bladders. It should totally apply to gear like flashlights and knives. It's only logical!

I may have to post some recent pics of my RMD in this thread. It was used last time I posted pics but its darn near hard to make out at this point. Sadly mine just rides in one of my get home kits and doesn't get much use anymore still a fine knife my tastes have just changed is all.

That will be great. Keep the pictures coming!

Here's some of the time line on the infi versions of the RMD that I had posted in another thread. It might prove useful here.

Yep, three versions of INFI RMDs to date:

Satin Finish INFI RMD - Swamprat (Blade Show Ganza 2014)
Swatmandu - Busse (w/ talon hole; CupidGanza 2015)
BIG Finish INFI RMD - Swamprat (Memorial Day Ganza 2015)

No problem bud. I like the looks of your BIG finish model too. Especially with the black canvas scales, a great user combo

The RatManDu is such a greath knife design and comes in many diffrent configurations, my favorite one is this "Flying RMD" with serrations and lowered spine:

I have never seen this version before. Is the serrations purely for aesthetics or does it serve a purpose? It looks like a serious stabbing knife though.

It's a sweet blade and good observation.
The flying fighting knives help bad-guys-turned-sheaths to get their wings... or horns... or virgins... or return to the aether... or their next go around whatever.
