Hossom did some two hand espada that had similar handle profiles. Nice! There must be some of his longer blades here somewhere.Weekend progress pics of the earlier one in blue tape.... Trying to keep the handle comfortable and thin for the owner. Might be a month till done?

More poking fun at cold steel for their folding pocket swords like the espada xl and voyager xl.They might.....
Haha....... Except I can't tell If you are making fun of them or Me?
Haha
Fantastic variety. Dont understand how some people can limit themselves to one type of sword.
I have not seen one of these in the wild, only in fantasy or anime sources. There is nothing in the image you have posted to suggest it would be weak or badly built, but I would want to see the shoulders of the tang (nakago) to have some idea of what the stress there would be like in cutting. As with all tools, balance is everything. This sword may or may not have a practical balance, it may or may not feel good to you, it may or may not be traditional design, and it may or may not be a good example of an established historical pattern. Is anyone familiar with this type of wide katana? And would anyone be able to speak for the durability or sturdiness of construction?
