Tacticlol Knives II: The Return of Ridiculous

This thread reminds me of good 'ol Gil Hibben knives, before the days of tactischoolkids

The ergos on this one are perfect! It's Humvee branded, so you know it tough and appeals to a particular "demographic"

Fedora wearing, neckbeard types rejoiced at the release of this overpriced grooming gem:

Why would anyone ever buy that when they can just pay 2.99 for a switchblade comb in any novelty shop , they also make mini switchblade mustache combs.

Why buy a Sebenza when you can just get a PM2?

Besides, those dollar store switch combs aren't DUAL ACTION OUT THE FRONT knives, and thus magnitudes less fun to play with. DA OTFs are so much fun it should be illegal in most jurisdictions.

Oh, right :(

If you have a $2.99 novelty comb, people will look at the handle and assume it's a piece of junk, there's no surprise.

Whereas with that thing above, people will look at the handle and assume you have a nice Microtech, but joke's on them, it's actually a piece of junk.

Where's the upvote button? Rep button? I feel like you deserve some variety of points for this.

Idk about it being a piece of junk considering I bet their owner gets more use out of them than a real microtech whose owner probably puts it in a safe and dreams up cool fantasy situations lol

Probably doesn't qualify as tacticlol, but I do think it scores some points in the ridiculous category..
Came across this while searching for knives with bone scales:

According to Levine's Guide to Knives and Their Values (4th Edition); a "figural knife" is a knife shaped like something else, like a gun, shoe, cartoon character, or- yes- a leg. The oldest representation of a figural knife, dating back 1800 years- not to the 1800s, but to the ~200s- is the leg knife. While not my taste, with the addition of a shoe that doubles as a cap lifter, the leg knife is more practical than 95% of what is in the pockets of the average BF contributor. And, they have a long and well established history- much more so than any liner lock folder.

I'll admit to having a soft spot for the leg knives, both the one pictured and the old Nehi Soda ones as well.
I will post something along the same lines though; the Rough Rider Zombie Nick line. For all the people who wanted to use a slipjoint to fight the zombie apocalypse comes the zombie green handled, black coated blades and blood spattered boxes of otherwise traditional styled knives.

I know they're not as bad as some of the items posted but they have kept me alternating in scratching my head and wanting to buy one.

^ I kind of like that little 2 bladed one above. I wish it didn't have the words on the blades though.

Ok my contribution is speed holes.

Why are they there? If I sharpen it will they get larger and get caught up on even more crap that I'm trying to cut? Seems like a bad idea.

Those patterns work!

One needs to build with trappings towards the younger market. how else to get them buying Great Grandads fudy dudty knives? ;)

I've been in the combat arms for almost 17 years with 8 of that in sof, and no self respecting operator would ever carry anything with the acronym "WOG" in the name... where I come from, "WOGs" are the people that never leave the wire and are referred to as WOGs because they work with out guns... nice research specwog ninjas.

See also: POGs and FOBbits. I mean, the whole title of the knife, "Special Warriors Operations Group." ... Sounds like... well I don't want to say retarded but...

It sort of looks like he was going for a more stylized kukri notch (don't know the name, but that little m-shaped notch at the base of a kurki blade). I agree it looks like a poor design choice. :thumbdn:
