Terror War Declared on US

I heard that there will be limited access and flights to get any interrupted flights back to where they were to go, but no carry on luggage. Not even a women's purse, only wallets. Only the people on those flights will be allowed back on those flights, no exchange or sale of tickets.

After that the airports will close until notified.

This is yet another time that we will lose rights for "safety". If I cannot carry a knife on my flights it is time to start carrying a stainless steel fountain pen. If that is banned then a roll of dimes or a 4" long 1/2"thick dowl rod will do just fine.

Personally I think they need to find out the difference between a building falling down as to a B-52 laying waste to your capitol, but let us figure out who they are.

Hey Uncle, you think the Kamis could come up with a HI fountain pen with sharpened edges on the quill?

Sandi, Thats what I ment about closing our boarders. We need to catch up on things that are allready here. From now on we have to be very strict on anyone comming into this land and no exceptions on a set number of immergrents comming in per year!!
 
I have always been afraid to carry my Chris Reeve Sebenza on a jet in fear they would take it. I carry a small maybe 1 1/2 bladed SOG Microdot, It's a very strong little folder and looks harmless!!
 
I totally agree with JIM_l_Clifton. I'm tired of our leaders tip towing around this issue! I hope this attack on the USA will entice our leaders to bomb the S#*% out of these cowardly little F#%*# when they find them!:mad:
 
Most of them in Washington are talking the talk. Now if they will only walk the walk. It really needs to be done.
 
I have lots of things on my mind at the moment - please forgive me if I'm not clear. I think ACStudios mentioned the Kubaton. I always wear one, and had no trouble getting on a flight out of Logan Airport (Boston) wearing it, but was pulled out of line by Security in Denver Colorado for it, and had to mail it back to Boston via USPS (this was about 5 years ago). I no longer try to carry it on flights.

People on the flights would've fought back if they had ANY idea what was happening. They were probably told they'd be fine if they just sat down.

I knew one person on each of the flights which hit the WTC. They were not family or intimate friends, but I knew both of them, and I liked them. I am saddened at their deaths. I've been told that the hospitals here on the east coast can't keep up with the number of people who want to donate blood, I'm too old to enlist, and I feel helpless to do anything. At the moment I'm trying not to give in to rage.

I have neighbors who are from the Mid-East - they are good, kind, and generous people and I worry that there may be a public backlash which will hurt them.

At the same time I want to hurt the people who did this - where ever they're from - but I realize that nothing I, or anyone else, can do will ever be enough. We must make it our business to do EVERYTHING we can to end terrorism. This is war.

Pray for peace (in the end).

I feel your pain and confusion. For what it is worth, I read on CNN.com that the men of flight that crashed in Penn, voted to attempt to over take the terrorists onboard. It crashed shortly after that. This came from the brother of a passenger who was on the phone with him...

At least they went down fighting... and are probably responsible for the aircraft not making it to D.C. They are heros in my book. God Bless their souls.

My wife said that those in countries around Afghanistan were not precondemning any future action that we might take there but were rather saying we ( the U.S. ) did not "have the belly" to do what was needed to end the terrorism threat.

Congress must be made, forced by our united outrage as their constituents, to declare a state of war on terrorism. If they refuse, they must be recalled. Then they must be kept, under penalty of treason, from meddling and committing any interference with the execution of the duties given our armed forces.

Then let the armed forces do what they have been trained to do, do it thoroughly, do it redundantly, and over again once more until they have left an object lesson for all the world to see.

Mohd, I think I speak for the majority to say that we know only a relatively few are responsible for this. I said elsewhere that every pond has some scum, and you don't need to drain the whole pond because of it. Our lack of response as a country right now is because we don't want to commit attrocities on innocents too. When we find out who is responsible, they will pay, with interest. We will do our best to minimize danger and hurt to innocents, but there will inevitibly be innocent victims. For this we are sorry, and will try to make reparations. This country has a history of rebuilding what it has destroyed. Japan and Europe come to mind. Mohd, you are Muslim and I am Christian. That does not mean we need kill one another. I extend my love to you, and pray for peace for you in your life. There are bad people in every culture, religion and race. Please forgive us ours and we will try to forgive you yours, at the same time doing what is needed to keep them in check.
 
A great debt has been established that can only be repaid in blood. Our resolve is that it be collected in full. That does not mean that part of the currency should be the blood of friends or innocents. The blood of the friends and innocents has already been spilled.

We will track these scum wherever they go. If they hide behind the innocent, we can wait until they take cover with their own kind, rather than release our retribution blindly, and add to the toll of those good lives already wasted. If God/Allah/Jehovah wills it, we will be able to bring them in with no loss of innocent life, dress them in the white robes and hoods for hanging, and let the world watch them die as the criminals they are.

These are not men of religion. They are so steeped in mindless hate that they can only serve Satan, no matter what label they claim to wear. We will remove them as a surgeon removes a boil from the healthy flesh, so that the body can continue to grow and prosper. As always, good men will suffer in these times, but be very clear in understanding that our target is demons, not men of true faith.
 
Mohd, I and most other Americans undrstand that this is the act of evil and deranged men who clothe themselves in the guise of Islam. From what I understand of the teachings of Islam the perpetrators of this crime are not muslims, no matter how long they grow their beards.
No muslim who is true to his faith would ever condone the mass murder of the innocent and helpless. The men who perpetrate these acts are the right hand of Satan on Earth, committing atrocities against God and humanity with the desire to create war and desolation.
They desire to turn brother against brother, and nation against nation, to the destruction of all. All men of true faith and courage must come together to thwart their evil plans or else suffer the end of all we love and hold sacred. Just as we must have justice for this terrible crime, we must counsel our brethren against blind hatred and violence. May God grant our leaders wisdom and our hearts peace in these terrible times. Amen.

Mohd, you're one of the good guys so don't worry. It is those infidels who planned this tragedy that will suffer the consequences of their action. They will never enter paradise but go to the deepest bowels of hell.

It is a real failing of the media that the image of Islam in the west is that of a frothing fanatic. So much so that the very mention of the world "Islam" or "muslim" has the average westerner on the edge.

I happen to live in a country where Islam is the official religion and know for a fact that there are true Muslims in the world who love peace. I grew up with many of them as my friends. I am thankful that here at least are some people who understand this as well - thank you, friends.

But I also know that there are those who merely wear the trappings of Islam but are consumed with hate and murder. To these false Muslims, inhuman monsters who kill innocents in the name of religion, I say its time the gloves come off. Islamic Law has only one punishment for murderers...

Don't worry, Mohd. That's not the way we want to do business. You and several of my Muslim friends have told me that I behave like a Muslim myself. Most Americans will behave just like me. We are very angry right now and want justice but we will not behave like the terrorists themselves.
