Testing Banner Ads - it's not a bug, it's me screwing things up

As a dealer I was concerned someone would think I was promoting hair restoration for the bald. I like bald people and don't care if they grow new hair or not.

Some of my best friends are hairless :)
 
Don't know if it had anything to do with the ads but I just got the first pop up I have ever had on BF.
 
You shouldn't be seeing popups at all.
 
It happened one time this morning. I do not ever get pop ups anywhere. It is possible that I dragged over an ad and it opened but don't think so as I was using the back button when it opened up.
 
Hope this is the right thread for this...and you may already be aware, Kevin. ;)

I've been noticing in-page ads when using my phone (Android 4.2.2 w/ Chrome), but none when using Windows 7 w/ Chrome when logged in for the last day or more.

...I know that you're testing stuff out here still, just thought it odd to see them on one device but not the other and thought you'd wanna know.

ETA: CRAP, scratch this... Forgot about my blocker add-on. :o

There shouldn't be any popups on this site, EVER.

Neither ad service says their running them and I asked point blank

This is a good reminder of one of the main reasons why I pay for a membership. Avoiding ads is worth it!
 
So, after tomorrow night, one way or another, paid members will no longer see ads?
 
I'm going to try ot get it wrapped up before I head out to SHOT.
 
The ads got me in trouble after the wife caught me clicking on the ad to talk to chicks in the Ukraine. :D

You got that right. Just made a reservation with Hampton Inn and i have been seeing their ads all over BF.
 
lol don't you guys ever go to any other site.. ads are everywhere... same ones here as on other sites as far as cookie tracking.. I have a feeling there are a lot of ad clickers here... ugh

You bet. One of the foreign news websites I used to read every day is no longer on my list.
Two-thirds of the page was ads. Flashing ads, pop-ups, auto-play video ads ... I quit.

You got that right and if my Wife thinks she's getting a new sofa before I get a new knife she has another thing coming!

I try and avoid sites with a lot of ads, but use ad blocker when I need to. Blinking moving ads, or ads with sound really kill me.
