Texas Camp Knife!

This thing really disappears in your pocket, kinda like my concealed carry gun:

:D

I don't get it. What does that handgun have to do with the Camp Knife? I just come here for pictures of knives and the occasional pictures of pets, pipes, booze, and people's kids and grand kids and other family - not guns.

As an aside, the Camp Knife is a looker.

What He Said! :thumbup::thumbup:

I know that my knives and guns go together like knives and guns!

Wait, I meant to say knives and guns......

Shoot, no, I meant bread and butter? Toast and jam? Peanut butter and jelly?

Ya, I think knives and guns go dandy together!

Though, for my traditional knives to match, I'd have to swap out grips on at least my grandpa's revolver!

Well, I took it as a good-humored reference to the size of the camp knife, nothing more - and certainly not an attack on anyone's moral beliefs. Personally, I think booze should be just as illegal as cocaine or heroine, but this is not the place to discuss.

Let's get back on track with the knives - I like this thread and don't want to see it closed!!

EDIT: Nevermind. Can't change most people's minds. Just disagree with such an emotional reaction.

Knife related question that might not be welcome: Can the can opener be used to open bottles?

I made chili last night and definitely could have used the can opener!

It looks like it should open a bottle just fine.

I used the can opener on a couple cans of corn last night. It worked pretty good, not quite as good as a SAK, but better than any other camp knife I've tried. On the next camping trip, I've got no problem at all relying on this for my only can opener.

Sounds good! [emoji106] I've had old camp knives on which the can opener didn't work at all.

I haven't had a chance to play with the can opener so I'm wondering the same thing... it looks like it would puncture the top of the bottle cap and spray beer everywhere...

Does the can opener on this Camp Knife work at least as well as a P-38?

Im considering filing down the point to make it more bottle friendly. I would rarely need to open a can, but would open plenty of bottles.

I dont even own the handgun in the photo, I just pulled it off the internet as a humorous commentary on the size of the camp knife being a limiting factor. I had no idea it would get political immediately - sorry to offend!

Exactly this!

Yes sir!

When I used the can opener it worked as well as a P-38 in my experience!
I've been carrying mine everyday since receiving it and outside of the obnoxious lump in my pocket and the strange looks it's been a joy to own!
