Texas Camp Knife!

I think I finally found a pouch worthy of the Texas Camp Knife. I found it on the big auction site. It's a beautifully tooled pancake style sheath, made from 9 oz. Hermann Oak holster leather, made to accommodate a Buck 110. It's about as solid as you'll ever find. Absolutely gorgeous, and fits the knife as if it were designed specifically for it.

In the end, the 98 was a bit big for me, but had they released one w/ the Lumberjack saw/flat blade, sheepsfoot, and punch, that would be a heck of a bushcrafting knife.
That WOULD be one heck of a knife! A heavy one too, but something totally new for GEC.

Is there a certain place that Charlie's sfo cattle knives are being sold. I'm looking to add a matching one to my camp knife!

This sheath arrived today. Not quite a bulletproof as the paddle sheath, but still quite nice. Right-hand cross draw.

Dale Park Station made the pancake sheath. The cross draw was by Conallie Thomas.

So I received my whittler the other day. Although I really like the knife, I can't overlook the off centre shield. I think an equal end knife really deserves a centred shield. It's a bit annoying, I wish I hadn't noticed it!

I hear what you're saying, but I have to admit, a knife with a shield that size begs for an engraved name. Then the off centeredness doesn't seem so odd. At least to me.

IMO, when the main blade predominates, like on the whittler, I think the shield belongs offset. On a 4blade (camp, congress), different story!
This seems to fit the usual scenario with all my old knives, with some exceptions as usual!

I'm really glad to hear that the can opener works so well as a cap lifter but truth be told, I use the flat head part of the cap lifter ALL the time. It'd be especially useful on the farm we just bought. With out the flat head caplifter, I'd have to carry a leather man everyday to make up for that one tool. Like I said, I'm really bummed because I was SO close to my perfect knife.

Wait a second... .you mean?..you can use the beer opener to open other stuff? Oh ho man. This knife just keeps getting better.

Oh man! Mine's got an identity issue.

I got a trio of Charlie SFO's. Camp, Cattle and Whittler all in cranberry jig. Anyone else have the trio?
