The 2010 Forum Knife Continues!

Does anyone have a Remington of that pattern to show us, to get an idea of what that knife will look like?

Like this?

:foot: WE don't need no stink'n lock backs!!!???;) I thought this was all about slippies???:eek::o:grumpy:

I think you should tell us how you REALLY feel!:D

I think that lockback is quite traditional, but I too prefer a plain slipjoint. I did want to make sure we didn't miss their "latest" however.

If many of you think we shouldn't go there, let this thread know!

If we move into Lockbacks, we could look again at Queen and their 4 1/2" lockbacks.
S&M Lockbacks SFO from Mike as an example

There is the S&M series 4 double-bladed trapper in ATS 34.

We could ask them to do this as a double lockback
That would be amazing and totally unique for a Forum knife!!

I am in regardless of pattern or company, but my preferences do NOT include a lockback.
Thank you for all your hard work fellas, it does not go unnoticed.

I'm on the fence about a lockback. Some of the slipjoints we're looking at definitely "oil my joints" alot more, but if we were to do a lockback, this would be a pattern to do. Keep it under 4" - I already have a Buck Anchor, um, 110.

A double locker would rock, neeman, but I'm in regardless. So many of the patterns discussed have been great that I'm sure we'll have a winner this year. Keep up the good work, men.

Ode to the Forum Knife

The forum knife can't have a lock,
the members all say it would be schlock
they all want a slippie
that closes real zippie
with plenty of walk and talk

I've got a feeling we are plumb out of lock!:D

Maybe they can make it with or without the lock like Queen/S&M does with the Mountain Man in either 1, or 2 blades.
I don't favor the lock, but let's not write off the pattern before we see it.

I'm in if this one is a larger folder. The S&M Mountain man lockback size or the Pioneer trapper or locking trappers from GEC would either work excellent.
