The 2016 knives have landed!

I think I've seen enough. There is no rub issue with any of these, and I'm pretty sure even the most finicky among us will be satisfied with the results. Those of you who had issues with the first portion of the order, I hope you got your knives into GEC for the warranty work by now.

Barry, thank you so much for inspecting a few of these just to make sure. I've been fully confident that GEC would fix em up good but it's always nice to get the reassurance.

I sent my defective Drover to GEC a few weeks ago and I'm patiently awaiting its return. They had not gotten to the returned knives as of last Thursday but I know they are busy and I'm trying not to bother them too much. I'm extremely tempted to buy another one while I wait. These are very nice knives and it can't hurt to have two. I'll chew on the idea at work today and I might place another order when I get back home.

I know you still had 35 unclaimed a few days ago. Would it be possible to get an update on how many are left now?

A big thank you to Barry and all that made the 2016 a great knife. Stockdogs two knives are great, smooth and nice looking. Thankful to be allowed to be included. Looking forward to the 2017.

Still waiting for the return of mine too. Thanks for the update. Hard to believe these haven't sold through yet as nice as they are.

My BF knife arrived today. Initial reaction was very favorable and kept improving. Felt considerably lighter than I was expecting and very thin as well. Really an ideal size for daily pocket carry. Great action with moderate pulls and crisp snap. I am also very happy with the covers. Great color, jigging and pin work that should be the benchmark to which GEC strives to achieve. And to think I almost passed on this knife, what a shame that would have been. I am already thinking of all the variations of the #35 frame I would like toeventually see:thumbup:

Mine arrived today. I wish my scales were just a tad bit lighter but overall, I am happy with my first BF knife. Here are a couple pics in and out of the sunlight.

I'm really pleased with mine. I bought it to celebrate this wonderful community that welcomed me with open arms when I stumbled upon it in February of this year. Thank you to Charlie for masterminding it, Barry for distributing it, GEC for building it, and everyone here who gave input on its design.

Now please excuse me while I go figure out a use for this incredibly sharp punch... ;)

Eagle 2 has landed. Both perfect. I had to take a peek and a pic before turning it over to my boy. Our second annual forum knives. Thanks to all who made it happen.

I'll probably keep the first one. But may just let my son decide. They are both great looking.

I forgot to mention, guys, that there is a red dot on the bottom lid of the tube of the 2016 BF indicating the punch blade has had the back rounded at the factory. :)

Thanks Barry. Do you know if they've gotten into the returns yet? No biggie, just wondering if you knew.

Mine arrived today. With the red dot and the modified punch. I have one of the CC HJ10's to compare, and the difference is noticeable but rather insignificant I think. No problems opening the blade or the punch on either knife in any position and the pulls on both knives are about the same - very good to me.

These are fine knives. Thin, light, but at the same time substantial. The kind of knives that you want to carry.

Thanks to everyone involved.

There was some chatter on the other thread about removal of the 3P stamp from modified knives. Can anybody confirm this?

Barry posted pics on the previous page of a knife from the initial run and one from the second, modified punch run and both have the PPP etch.
