The 2024 F**** K****?

I don't get the issue with Case Knives; in their literature you can order knives with blade etching and with custom decoration on the handles. Why won't they do 400 or 500 of those for a Blade Forums Club Knife? I like the Scout pattern commemorative idea, this Case Junior Scout was from 2008; that's not Orange Delrin but another synthetic. I agree. Sounds like a "fish in a barrel" sales opportunity.

That would be a good candidate as long as the blades are not soft. I like the scout pattern idea.

Yes indeed..the enormous Case fish with its weensy little fins and brightly coloured scales pretty much takes up the whole barrel and yet somehow has proved more elusive and more difficult to hook than an albino Coelocanth.

Looking around a bit, like the Lionsteel Opera, Barlows or the slipjoint with bottle opener. Another idea, what about a Boker?

Ya I was thinking the same after someone posting that case quit doing batches for clubs, would love to see the case junior scout in natural covers that I can get on board with,I've been looking for case camp knife in natural covers for awhile so this would surely take care of that.

Let's be realistic folks: 78 Bullet-End Barlow with hemlock green bullet-shielded sambar, BF-X-LD-stamped bolsters, and a new, stouter lambfoot blade. I'm thinking the etch should have the website address on it, of course, and maybe a friendly reminder to make liberal use of off-site image hosting. If we could get a "grease those hinges" tang stamp, that's just icing on the cake, babies.

Does this count toward my overall posts?

🤣

There was a knife every year since starting it right? I guess the fact it took so long to get them made and distributed last year cut into the time for this year, its already halfway over

Case still does small runs for clubs and groups. I'm not sure if maybe they stopped at one point, but they definitely still do it now. They just did a 150 piece special order for the Little Valley knife show last weekend.

I think the bigger issue seems to be there are no official authorized Case dealers who are BF members willing to step up and handle all the legwork for free.

There is no longer any need to worry about controlling the secondary market for the Blade Forum traditional knives. They made more than enough last year and these took a while to finish selling. On the secondary market these did not sell for more the original $200 cost. There is no need for serial numbers on the bolster or any form of tracking.

Along these lines, I would be entirely fine in a large Trapper with scales that were jazzed up, or a unique material just for us.

I mean... my address bit was a joke... but it looks like Behr95 has got one up on his ebay (#080) for $324.
So whoever had 080, now you know what became of your forum knife.

I'm sure other forum knives from last year have been scalped on the secondary, too. It's a tall order to claim they weren't.

Are we really running late? I can remember at least one year, having to wait to get my forum knife because the post office was closed for Thanksgiving.

I think someone above said that the knife last year was announced on June 7th.

But the serialized bolster is a neat feature. I honestly thought it was more about commemorating the limited nature of the run than tracking secondary market sales

Behr95 is trying to raise enough money for a forum membership
