The All New 2008 "What Did You Cut with Your Buck Today?" Topic

Saturday AM - opened new cellphone accessories' clamshells with my old 301 - my bills succumbed to the 503 Prince - more chicken breasts for soft tacos sliced with the 119. Oops... had sliced/diced tomatoes & lettuce, too.

Sunday - opened a package with my 005GY. No other sharp devices needed.

Monday's planned hike may include that 005GY on the belt - and, gasp, a Vic 'Farmer' SAK in the pocket... maybe the 301.

Been using my gen 5 in the kitchen, cut up some venison for marinating, cut up some salad fixins',chicken breasts for chicken salad, this time of year we have no hunting seasons open,so i make do.lol

Gotta love that BP110 Hawkeye! Used mine today to cut potatos to plant in the garden.

Planted some red, white, and yellow potatos along with some purple and white onions. These two veggies need to get in the ground early before the heat gets here.

Planting:eek:We plant Potatoes here in Texas in February..But you are right. The 110 is just the
knife for cutting up potatos for planting.

Indiana can still be pretty cool in April...back to cutting...cut up my apple with my 309 slippie.

WOW ,I got lucky today i got to test my gen5 on the real thing,a whitetail deer. One got hit by a car and the dnr called me as i have a friend that disposes of them,he said nothing was wrong except the neck was broke,so i decided to take it and butcher it for my dogs.

Let me tell ya first off he was wrong,it was damaged and busted paunch as well,WHEEWEEE!

I managed to skin the deer out ,and get most of it deboned before it needed a touch -up,a few swipes on a diamond hone and leather strop, and i finished the job and still had a sharp knife.

The thing i noticed the most is the handle ergonomics are perfect for me,no hot spots or sore hands after using this knife.

This knife has really surprised me,more so than some much more expensive knives, this is one knife i will be taking into every hunting camp i go to.

I am no pro,but i would reccommend this little knife to anyone looking for a great little knife at a super price!

Thanks for your report RB. Is that the standard 420 version or one of the high end steel ones?

Yesterday, my 880SP 154CM cut open a box received in the mail from a BBF with the initials "JB" and numbers "4570". This belt and buckle were inside. What a great surprise!
Stamping theme on the belt and the buckle goes well with a patch on my primary riding apparel :)
Thank you John...

Sorry for the late comeback JB,It it is just a standard 420 hc steel gen 5,I have used it a lot ,somebody at buck made the most out of this heat treat cause the knife won't quit,i love it as much as a 110,i would love to see these 2 knives come together in some type of double sheath, that would be awesome.

I used my stag scale Custom Shoppe 110 to open two plastic packages for cell-phone accessories.

I cut up chicken today using my 105C sure cuts nice. Darn I like using that knife and the flap over sheath is an extra plus. DM
