The All New 2008 "What Did You Cut with Your Buck Today?" Topic

Well, today I used my 277 to cut styrofoam and cardboard for recycling. That styrofoam is tougher than it looks, especially when it comes in the freaking big blocks that I collected.

Today I cut down a Cabela's shipping box and made it smaller in order to fit in the saddle bag of my scoot. Can't believe they send one knife in such a big box.

Anyway, I cut the shipping box down and made it smaller so I could putt to the post office and ship it to the Buck deprived in Europe.

Used my 110NS Damasucus 1989 for the cardboard and Mayo Waimea for the tape.

-Used my red-gold Sirus to open a can of Skoal Vanilla since the new gig I took last month cancelled all smoking the 1st of May within a 1000 mile radius of their little bit o' Heaven. Technically "No Tobacco" but who'll know, eh? Ain't fooled with that snuff stuff since experimenting as a teen but hey, now I have the opportunity to add another task for the Bucks!...... sheesh. Guess some will live to be older than Methusala now.....doesn't interest me much though, at least not 'here'!

Just made quick work of the end of a tow strap with my custom 110; after towing my son's junk camaro home.

Welcome to the Buck forum, haley1! A great bunch of people here - enjoy your stay.

Does my Buck hand saw count?? I cut a whole lot of nuisance brush/bushes/trees while particpating in the largest ever corporate sponsored volunteer effort. 8000 employees world wide!!!

I used my TNT to cut the shrink wrap off 2 16lb blocks of G10 I bought off James Todd here on BF :), that's alot of knife handles :D

2TONYB, if it's stamped "BUCK"...it counts

I used my stag 110 to cut open a package from a fellow forum member....a trade for a Spyderco Endura. :)

My sister in-law used my brothers 102 as a trowel when his back was turned.
I sharpened it up and used it to cut some paper, and to cut up a banana for my 1year old.

Anyone have any good advice on sharpening that big clip curve give me a shout via PM. Thanks.

Turkey Tag out today.

16lbs, 9" beard, no spurs.
Looked bigger than he weighed. Even the people at the tag station were surprised he was light. But, any Turkey with a bow is a prize. :D

Used my Buck 802SS to breast it, de-wing and de-fan him.
Picture of knife and fan coming later. It was a rush though since it was going to rain.

The 802 did short work on the turkey breasting it. Got to LOVE the Buck Clip, well when not sharpening it anyway.
The blade is SOOO polished, there was no way I could not get a reflection up close.

Way cool pic's Shaman. A turkey with a Bow is always a trophy
in my book. That is one nice knife to be cutting up Turkeys with.
Thanks for shairing.
Jeff

Thanks. It IS a nice knife, but I really feel knives are meant to be used. Taken care of, but used. It WON'T be cutting wood, bone, or anything hard. But I can see it doing some work on a deer this fall if I get a chance. It is definitely reserved for game animals. ;)

Shaman, Darn you got a turkey w/ a bow!! I've been trying for years and hav'ent got to come to full draw on a Turkey. If its from Maine I guess its a Virginian, here its the Miriam and we also have some Ghouls. The 802 is a nice knife and I'm glad your using it. Does it have the signatures on the opposite side? Way to go. DM
