Hi Nathan, can you recommend anyone in your network who can drill a detent hole in a scale for a folding knife? I am very eager to have a detent hole drilled for my ZT 0301 so I can de-assist it properly, at least have the option to remove the springbar and make it a manual folder. I asked you about it before and I know you do not do commission work, but I wanted to follow up again just to ask if you happen to know anyone who might be willing and able.

What is it that brought you to the knife making world? Just like stabby things like the rest of us? Saw a gap in the market that others weren’t filling?

I know this can only come across as a fan boy, but I often find myself reading your responses or fondling my CPKs and thinking we’re very lucky to have you here.

The move looks like a very monumental task and I’m not using that word lightly. in that last pic, I could swear that NinJo was practicing her tai chi.

On the K18, din fash lad. I ken that I can only speak for meself and I also ken that maybe one or two buggers have already gotten impatient but personally, every time that I look at what you charged me for a Carothers / Keffeler sword, I can’t help but to beam a big smile :p

We're done with Delta 3V DEK1 for a little while and will finish out about 100 in AEBL next. Then we'll finish the last few in D3V and move on to other things. I'm buried with the K18 and there is a run of Kepharts next. We'll revisit the DEK1 pattern again in the future

Hi Nathan, on canvas micarta, are they (now) all pretty much the same? Or can the dye make a difference? Would certain colors affect the resin? Is there any color that might have any slight advantage over others in durability, stability, or being more tactile? TIA!
 
Microbevel D3V @ 20 dps ... does it make any difference good or bad?

I ask because I primarily use my Sharpmaker for touch ups and the 15 deg. rod holes won't hit the apex unless I fudge a bit with the angle of the dangle.

It's a lot easier for me to just mindlessly draw down vertically with the 20 deg. slots. I realize eventually I'll have to reprofile, but I haven't got there yet on my EDC...not even close, really.
